block on all four sides.

8 Fix six more vertical frames on the right-hand side of the hull,

in the same position to those in the previous step.

6 Take the hull of the model as you left it at the end of the last

assembly session.

7 Cut to size six pieces of the gold strip, put glue on the side free

of paint and x them on the front of the left-hand side of the hull,

in the positions indicated by the arrows.

9 In the next steps of this assembly session, you will begin to x on the decorations PD29, PD30, PD31 and PD32 that came with this

stage. ey are, however, only a part of the ornamentation of the ship. e photo shows the left-hand side of the hull complete with all

the decorations, including those that will be supplied and assembled in later stages.

5 With a at paintbrush or air brush, paint three of the four

sides of the strip gold. You must make vertical frames for the

hull out of this strip.

14 Finally, x two pairs of decorations PD29 and PD30 on the

aft section of the left-hand side of the hull, between the eighth and

tenth gun ports of the deck.

13 Continue assembling the decorations, xing three pairs of

PD29 and PD30 pieces between the fth and eighth gun ports of

the deck.

12 Fix three more pairs of decorations PD29 and PD30 in the

three left-hand side sections of the hull, between the second and

the fth gun ports of the deck.

15 Here is what the left-hand side of the hull looks like after

you have xed a total of 10 PD30 decorations and nine PD29

decorations.

10 Put metal glue on the back of a seahorse PD30. Fix it on the

left-hand side of the hull, 2mm from the left of the rst vertical

11 In the same way, x a decoration PD29 and a decoration

PD30 in the space between the rst and the second gun ports of

the deck, 1mm from the vertical frames.

6 Take the ve decorations for the right-hand side quarter gallery

PD15, PD16, PD17, PD18 and PD19.

10 With metal glue, x the decorations into their positions on the

lower left-hand side.

7 Apply a drop of metal glue on the back of the decorations

and x them on the lower right-hand quarter gallery of the hull,

following the arrangement shown in the photo.

9 Take the decorations for the left-hand quarter gallery, PD10,

PD11, PD12, PD13 and PD14, that came with this stage.

5 Take the hull as you left it at the end of your last assembly

session. Fix on the decorations that you received with this stage,

starting from the right-hand side of the quarter gallery.

8 Position the model so that you can work on the stern area of

the left-hand side. e arrow indicates the part of the lower quarter

gallery on which to x the remaining decorations.

12 Cut out the pieces that form the gun carriage from the die.

15 Turn the gun carriage over, put a drop of glue into the slots on

the bottom edge of the two sides and x the connecting strip. Cut

o the excess.

11 Store your model in a safe place for your next assembly session.

16 If you have chosen a decorative nish for your model, paint the

entire gun carriage red with a paintbrush or air brush.

13 Apply a thin layer of glue on one edge of the platform, then x

it on the left-hand side. Remember, the wider end of the platform

is towards the back of the gun carriage.

14 Fix the right-hand side on the opposite edge of the platform,

ensuring that it is symmetrical to the one already xed.

20 When the paint is dry, set the barrel into the slots on the gun

carriage and glue it in place.

17 Insert the axle into the corresponding holes on both sides

of the gun carriage.

18 Paint the two wheels black, put them on the axle and x them

with a drop of glue. en, cut o the excess axle.

22 Your assembly session is nished. Put away the cannon and the

eyebolts and blocks that you have not yet used.

19 With a paintbrush or air brush, paint the cannon barrel bronze.

21 Apply a small amount of metal glue on the two trunnion cap

squares and x them on the sides.

a sapele-coloured paint. When dry, put on a coat of clear matt

protctive varnish.

grained sanding-block, smooth the edges, eliminating the black

8 Fix the foremast chainwale in the same position in which

you tried it in Step 5. Take care to orient the piece correctly, as

indicated by the arrow on the die (see Step 1).

6 If necessary, smooth the inner edge of the chainwale with a

ne-grained sanding-block so that it ts the curvature of the hull.

10 Paint the mainmast chainwale the same sapele-coloured

paint as the foremast chainwale. Put on a coat of clear matt

protective varnish.

7 Put on a thin layer of glue on the inside edge of the foremast

chainwale, as shown in the photo.

9 Detach the mainmast chainwale 157 from the die. Smooth the

edges of the piece with a ne-grained sanding-block to eliminate

the black laser cut marks.

5 Without using glue, place the foremast chainwale between

the two frames indicated in the photo, placing it 16mm from the

spur and checking that its curved edge ts tightly to the hull.

12 If necessary, smooth the inside edge of the chainwale with a

ne-grained sanding-block, then put on a thin layer of wood glue.

15 As you did with the foremast and mainmast chainwale, paint

the mizzenmast chainwale with a sapele-coloured paint. Put on a

coat of clear matt protective varnish.

14 Cut the mizzenmast chainwale 158 from the die and sand the

edges of the piece to remove the black laser cut marks.

13 Fix the mainmast chainwale in the same position that you tried

in Step 11. Orient the piece correctly, as indicated by the arrow on

the die (see Step 1).

16 To x the chainwale in place, you must cut the top of the two

vertical frames indicated in the photo, removing a 2mm-long piece

from each of them.

11 Without using glue, t the chainwale under the rst gold

frame, placing it 8mm from the entry hatch of the ship. Make sure

that the edge ts the hull tightly.

with two eyebolts and blocks. Finally, prepare a pair of blocks with

double loops. Put the cannon and blocks away in a safe place.
