(see above) and the maintenance spaces.
The electrical sockets of the facility installation must be easily accessible.
The systems may be repaired only by authorized technicians.
Unauthorized opening of the housing or repairs not conducted by a professional can not only lead to
considerable physical injury but also invalidate your warranty and liability protection.
Always consult the attached documentation before you conduct work on this end device.
If this system is moved from a cold environment into its heated operating room, condensation may
occur. The device must be fully dry before operation. Therefore, an acclimatization time of at least
two hours is also expected.
Always lay the cables and lines in a way that people cannot step on or trip over them.
Immediately replace damaged cables.
Pull the connector from the facility installation on the removable, flexible power cable.
Ensure that no objects (such as paper clips) can get inside the device
since they could cause electric shocks or short circuits.
Provide adequate ventilation to prevent the system from overheating.
Data cables should not be inserted or pulled out during a storm.
Keep the system away from vibrations, dust, moisture, and heat.
Ensure that used parts are disposed of in an environmentally responsible manner.
In case of an accident (such as a damaged housing, ingress of liquids or foreign matter), power off
the system and fully disconnect it from the power mains via the facility installation's fuse.

Safety
The system and the remaining IT hardware should be connected to a power mains only using a sep-
arate PE cable (PE). This type of mains network is called a TN-S network. Do not use PEN conduc-
tors.
Please also note the recommendations set forth in DIN VDE 0100 Part 540, Appendix C2 and
EN50174-2, §5.4.3 (www.DIN.de). This helps to prevent malfunctions.
National Electrical Code ANSI/NFPA 70 (NEC)
Canadian Electrical Code, Part I, CSA C22.1 (CE Code: Canadian Electrical Code)
Transport the system only in its original packaging (to protect it against impacts and shocks).
Always keep the ventilation slots free from obstruction to ensure proper air circulation and to prevent
overheating.
If a lithium battery is delivered with the device, ensure that the battery is replaced with an equivalent
type. Otherwise, there is a risk of explosion!
Lithium batteries may be replaced only by identical types or by other types recommended by the
manufacturer.
The batteries must be disposed of according to special local regulations for the disposal of hazardous
waste.
2.1.1
2.1.1 Connecting periphery systems
Connect systems only with shielded cables to ensure compliance with international regulations and
specifications for radiation emissions and to achieve high immunity against external malfunctions.
