Operating Panel Replacement
for E-Series Gliding Patio Doors
Use caution when working at elevated heights and around unit openings.
Follow manufacturers’ instructions for ladders and/or scaffolding. Failure
to do so may result in injury or death.
Follow manufacturers’ instructions for hand or power tools. Always
wear safety glasses. Failure to do so may result in injury and/or
product damage.

Panel must be supported during entire removal and installation
procedures. Failure to support sash may result in injury and/or
product damage.
Windows and doors can be heavy. Use safe lifting techniques and a
reasonable number of people with enough strength to lift, carry and
install window and door products to avoid injury and/or product
damage.
Unlock and open operating panel.

Remove visible head track screws and save for reuse.

Close and lock operating panel. Remove remaining head track screws and save for reuse.

Unlock and open operating panel half-way.

Tip top of operating panel and head track panel stop inward from frame.
Lift head track panel stop from top of panel and save for reuse.

Lift operating panel out of frame.

Remove two (2) escutcheon plate screws and save for reuse.
Remove interior and exterior handle/escutcheon plate and
save for reuse.

Fasten lock mechanism using two (2) saved screws.
Insert lock mechanism on new panel with actuator pin down.

operating panel slightly inward.

facing interior.
