1. Unplug existing harness connectors from SR-3 controller going to door switch.

2. From TKV5 harness, remove block-off plug from door switch connector and attach connector

into harness going to door switch.

3. Install block-off plug (removed in step 2) into harness connector coming from the SR-3.

1. Unplug existing harness connectors from expansion board going to door switches.

2. From TKV5 harness, remove block-off plugs from door switch connectors and attach

connectors into harness going to door switches.

3. Attach block-off plugs (removed in step 2) into harness connectors coming from SR-3.

TKV5 Module Installation

1. Install TKV5 harness 35–pin connector securely to TKV5 module.

2. Secure TKV5 module onto the existing clear mounting bracket with (4) 10–32 locking nuts

((555555229922)).

3. Clean the surface of the both the roadside and curbside door panels, attach the WARNING

nameplate ((992277110000)) and the CONNECTED nameplate ((993355888888)) as shown.

Configuration Procedures — SR-3 Guarded Access

IImmppoorrttaanntt:: To function properly, the unit must have the following minimum software Installed:

HMI- 75C3, Controller- D095 for single temp. and F035 for multi-temp., TKV5

-preferred).

1. With the engine off, go to Guarded Access Menu.

NNoottee:: Guarded Access Menu Is not available If the engine is running.

2. Scroll down and select Hardware Settings:

a. TK Telematics Door Switch Enabled? - press YES to ENABLED.

3. The unit is now programed for door switches, press the exit key.

NNoottee:: See TK BlueBox Diagnostic Manual (TK 56469) for further information on software setup

procedures. Diagnostic Service Cable is available (423001) for use with the Web Based

Diagnostic Program.

TracKing V5 Activation Procedures

Existing TracKing Users

If your unit wwaass previously equipped with TracKing with remote antenna, and it has now been

converted to TracKing V5 with internal antenna, once the unit is turned on it will auto-configure.

Follow the instructions below:

1. Turn unit ON.

2. www.tracking.thermoking.com

3. Verify unit is configured correctly. Adjust as needed.

4. Verify TracKing is communicating with your unit.

New TracKing Users

If your unit wwaass nnoott previously equipped with TracKing and it now has TracKing V5 installed,

you must contact a Thermo King dealer to create a TracKing account. Once the TracKing

account is setup by the dealer, you can either have the dealer assist with the activation

procedures, or follow the instructions below:

1. Turn unit ON.

2. Access www.tracking.thermoking.com.

3. Follow the instructions to activate the unit.

4. Verify unit is configured correctly. Adjust as needed.

5. Verify TracKing is communicating with your unit.
