Mounting of CentaMax 5000 coupling on SAB 355
1. Check that the distance between the journals is 178 mm (+5/-10 mm). Adjust, if necessary.
2. Lubricate the journals with thin oil. Position the motor hub loosely on the motor shaft.
3. If the motor shaft is ø100 mm or more, mount the compressor hub with the cut-out 5 mm from the end of the
compressor shaft. If the motor shaft is less than ø100 mm, align the cut-out and the compressor shaft end.
4. Attach the compressor hub with the 2 mounting screws by tightening them a little at a time to 280 Nm.
5. Preassemble the adaptor plate and the 24 pin bolts with cylindrical screws. Tighten to 117 Nm.

6. Insert the rubber part facing the threaded holes away from the adaptor plate, and place the assembly
between the hubs.
7. Attach the adaptor plate to the motor hub using 12 M16 x 40 mm bolts.
Tighten crosswise to 280 Nm.
8. Insert the spacer in the rubber part and slide the motor hub to achieve contact between the spacer and
compressor hub. Check that all 12 holes are aligned in the 3 parts.
9. Attach the compressor hub to the rubber part using 12 M16 x 50 screws. Tighten crosswise to 280 Nm.

10. Adjust the motor hub so that the rubber part is positioned 6 mm “inside” the ring of pin bolts.
11. Attach the motor hub with the 2 mounting screws by tightening them a little at a time to 280 Nm.
12. Finally, tighten the pointed screws, which secures the key on the motor and compressor shaft, to 60 Nm.
