FläktGroup EURF Liquid-coupled heater echanger is a versatile device that can be used for a variety of applications. It is designed to be used with outdoor air and can be equipped with surface type or insertion type sensors. The heat exchanger can be purged of air either automatically or manually. It also features anti-freeze protection to prevent damage in freezing temperatures. The heat exchanger cannot be drained completely, so antifreeze must be added to the liquid if there is a risk of freezing. The fins can be straightened using the QLAZ-20 fin comb.

Connections to the pipework should be made by the
pipework contractor. Connect the finned heat exchanger
to the pipework in such a manner that expansion forces
or the deadweight of the pipework will not be applied to
the liquid connections.
The liquid connections are provided with identifica-
tion plates for the inlet and outlet.
Caution!
Use a pipe wrench to restrain the pipe connections of the
heat exchanger when tightening the external pipe connec-
tions.

The finned heat exchangers are provided with 32 mm
dia. drain connections for connection to a water trap
with a depth of at least 100 mm. Preferably use the
EUAZ-08 water trap.

Anti-freeze protection
Some form of anti-freeze monitor should be used to pro-
tect the finned heat exchangers against the risk of damage
by freezing if the heat exchanger is used for outdoor air.
All finned heat exchangers can be equipped with surface
type or insertion type sensors.
The location of the insertion sensor should be in accord-
ance with the instruction plate on the side of the unit
section.
Purging the finned heat exchangers of air
The EURF can be purged of air either automatically or
manually.

Drainage
The heat exchanger cannot be drained completely. Anti-
freeze must therefore be added to the liquid if there is
risk of freezing.
Fins
Use the QLAZ-20 fin comb to straighten any deformed
fins.
