FläktGroup LQRF Ecoterm, Liguid-coupled heat exchanger Installation guide

  • Hello! I am a chat assistant and I have reviewed the installation instructions for the FläktGroup LQRF ECOTERM liquid coupled heat exchangers. This document provides key details on pipework connections, freezing protection measures, and air purging procedures. I'm ready to answer any specific questions you might have regarding the installation and maintenance of your device described in the document.
  • What should be used to protect heat exchangers from freezing?
How should the pipe connections be tightened?
What is the minimum depth required for a water trap?

Connections to the pipework should be made by the pipework
con-tractor. Connect the finned heat exchanger to the pipework in such
a manner that expansion forces or the dead weight of the pipework
will not be applied to the liquid connections.
The liquid connections are provided with identification plates for the
inlet and outlet.
For output variant 6-9, there is two coils in each air stream. These
coils are connected in series in which 2 must be connected to 2
on each coil. The water is connected in counterflow air direction as
shown below.

FREEZING PROTECTION
When the heat exchanger is used for out door air <0 °C some form
of anti-freeze liquid should be used to protect the finned heat exchang-
ers against the risk of damage by freezing. All finned heat exchangers
can be equipped with surface type or insertion type sensors. The
location of the insertion sensor should be in accordance with the
instruction plate on the side of the unit section.
LQRF HEAT RECOVERY UNIT
The finned heat exchangers are provided with 32 mm dia. drain
connections for connection to a water trap with a depth of at least 100
mm. Preferably use the LQAZ-08 water trap.
PURGING THE FINNED HEAT EXCHANGERS OF AIR
The LQRF can be purged of air either automatically or manually.

DRAINAGE
The heat exchanger cannot be drained completely. Antifreeze must
therefore be added to the liquid if there is risk of freezing.
FINS
Use the QLAZ-20 fin comb to straighten any deformed fins.
CAUTION!
To avoid injuries, wear protective gloves
wheneverworkingwith the fin comb.
