EU Air Handling Unit INSTALLATION
Delivery
The EUGA unit is delivered in accordance with one of
the following alternatives:
As one delivery unit, i.e. factory-assembled in one
multi-function block
As one delivery unit, i.e. factory-assembled unit
mounted on a base frame.
Several multi-function blocks which are connected to
form one unit on site.
Lifting and transport
The weight of each multi-function block is specified on
the rating plate. Each block is provided with packaging
as shown in Fig. 3. The blocks can be transported by
means of a forklift truck, a pallet transporter or a plat-
form truck. Lifting can be carried out as shown in Fig.
4–10.

Place the unit on a flat surface. Back off the screws in the
corner sections. Hook the lifting lugs onto the screws
and tighten the screws to a torque of 22–24 Nm.
Mounting on the floor
The floor on which the unit is mounted must be level, to
ensure its problem-free function. Carefully check the
floor to ensure that distortion and problems in opening
and closing the doors are not built into the unit.
Base frame EUAZ-04 can be supplied with adjustable
feet EUAZ-05 for individual height adjustment. These
are available for sizes 11-53. Non-adjustable feet are
available for larger sizes. The support washer supplied is
placed under the foot; see Fig. 12. It is important to
ensure that the unit is positioned horizontally.
Space for a water trap (e.g. EUAZ-08) must be provid-
ed for air handling units which contain functional com-
ponents with a drainage facility. See Fig. 14.
Lateral and longitudinal position adjustment is most eas-
ily performed with a roller crowbar or similar. See Figs.
15 and 16.
Larger and heavier units can be raised by using a
hand-operated form loader on both short sides to avoid
damage to the underside of the unit. See Fig. 17.
Installation of adjustable feet
The feet should be installed at regular intervals along the
side rails, if they are more than 4 in number. Where 4
feet are required, one foot should be installed at each end
of the side rails.
Adjustment of
set-screws:
1) Release the
locking nut (A).
2) Adjust the height
with the set-screw
(B).
3) Lock the locking
nut (A).

Suspended mounting from the ceiling
Place the unit on a frame constructed on-site. See the
examples in Figs. 18 to 23. Suspend the frame from pen-
dant hangers.
The frame must also be executed so that so that the
base panels have either transverse or longitudinal support
rails on the underside.
Important!
The hangers must be positioned so that they do not
obstruct the inspection hatches. A frame of the kind
shown in Fig. 18 permits easy adjustment of the hangers.

EU Air Handling Unit INSTALLATION
EUG(A,B) – General instructions, standard design
Stacked or angle installation
Units of the same width can be stacked on top of one
another. Up to three size 11–32 units, but only two size
40–85 units can be stacked on top of one another. In the
case of units of different width, the inspection doors
should be positioned directly above one another. An
angle iron should be positioned under the rear frame sec-
tion of the upper unit (same length as of the lower unit)
and a piece of bar for height compensation should be
positioned under the front frame section. Fit EUAZ-10
sealing strip around the opening of the angle section
before fitting the upper unit.

(bottom outlet)
Fan unit
(upward outlet)
The EUAZ-16 jointing piece set is used for securing the
upper units to the lower as shown in Fig. 25. The set
consists of 6 angle brackets. Use the angle bracket as a
template and secure it to the frame section with self-tap-
ping screws. (Delning max. 1,5 m)

Mounting on wall brackets
Vertical installation
The following surface is necessary for vertical installa-
tion:
Flat floor or a frame made of e.g. 50 x 50 x 5 mm angle
iron, with the outside dimensions adapted to those of the
unit, A x B mm.
N.B. Vertical installation applies only to sizes 11–32 of
standard design.
Mounting on a stand
Note.
Do not locate the stand so that the inlet or outlet or the
inspection doors are obstructed.
Use straps or mountings such as perforated straps for
securing the unit to a wall.

EU Air Handling Unit INSTALLATION
EUG(A,B) – General instructions, standard design
Connecting one or several multi-function
blocks
Sealing strip is supplied loose and must thus be fitted before
the blocks are connected together. See Fig. 30 and 31.
Fig. 30
Fig. 31 15 x 5
Jointing of blocks, sizes 11–53
Internal bolted joints at the corners of the frame are used
for jointing the blocks to one another. Access to the
inside of the casing can be gained either by opening an
inspection door or by removing a wall panel. Withdraw a
unit section if it is in the way.
1. Fit the sealing strips supplied to the frame of one of
the blocks.
2. Push the blocks towards one another, making sure that
they are well lined up with one another.
3. Fit the joint bolts into the corner brackets on the
inside of the frame and make sure that they are firmly
in position.
4. Use a 14 mm spanner for the joint bolts to pull the
blocks together.
5. Tighten all four joint bolts alternately, compressing
the seal to 1–2 mm.

Connection to next EU block
Fit the self-tapping screws in the existing holes in the
frame profiles, and tighten the connector with a size 14
spanner.
Connection to Regoterm (EURA) and Jointing frame
(EUVH c = 3, 4)
The connector is attached to the strut with self-tapping
screws and is tightened with a size 14 spanner.
Connection to Angle section (EUTA b = 1–4)
The connector is attached to the top/bottom with self-
tapping screws and is tightened with a size 14 spanner.
