Delivery
The EUWA unit is delivered in accordance with one
of the following alternatives:
As one delivery unit, i.e. one factory-assembled
multi-function block.
As one delivery unit, i.e. factory-assembled unit
mounted on a base frame.
Several multi-function blocks which are connected
to form one unit on site.

Lifting and transport
The weight of each multi-function block is specified on
the rating plate. Each block is provided with packaging as
shown in Fig. 2. The blocks can be transported by means
of a forklift truck, a pallet transporter or a platform truck.
Lifting can be carried out as shown in Fig. 3–5.

EU Air Handling Unit INSTALLATION
Mounting on the floor
The floor on which the unit is placed must be flat, to
ensure problem-free operation.
Check the floor carefully to avoid distortion of the unit
and thus ensure that the doors will not be difficult to
open and close.
EUAZ-05 adjustable feet are available to allow for indi-
vidual height adjustment of the EUAZ-04 base frame.
Place the support washer (supplied) under the foot as
shown in Fig. 8. It is important to make sure that the
unit is level.
If the air handling unit includes unit sections that are
provided with drains, space must be available for a
water trap (such as the EUAZ-08) as shown in Fig. 9.
Adjustment of the lateral and longitudinal position of
the air handling unit is best carried out by means of a
roller crowbar or the like, as shown in Fig. 10 and 11.
N.B. The unit should slope 2% towards the inspection
side to allow for drainage during cleaning. Flushing
water can be collected in the EUWZ-02 drainage
water trough (accessory).
Fitting adjustable feet
The feet are fitted with even spacing along the side rails
if the number of feet is greater than 4. In the case of 4
feet, 1 foot should be fitted at each end of the side
beams.
Adjustment of set-screws:
1) Release the locking
nut (A).
2) Adjust the height
with the set-screw (B).
3) Retighten the
locking nut (A).

EU Air Handling Unit INSTALLATION
Suspended installation
Place the unit on a stand made on site as shown in the
examples in Fig. 12 and 15. Suspend the stand from
hangers. The larger units in which service personnel can
enter, must be placed on a stand with traversing or longi-
tudinal support beams. These beams must be arranged
as shown in the figures below to support the bottom
panels of the unit and thus guarantee the safety of service
personnel and other persons beneath the unit.
EUAZ-15 floor gratings must be installed in units in
which service personnel can enter. Bear in mind the need
for ease of access to enable service personnel to reach
unit components or enter the unit to perform maintenan-
ce work. The width of the unit stand must therefore
provide a min. 800 mm wide service platform in front of
the inspection doors.
Retaining flange A– max. 35 mm along the inspection
side.
Cut and remove the edge of the retaining flange ”A” at
the hinge locations.
N.B. If the unit is equipped with a EUWZ-02 drainage
trough, there are retaining flanges (A) only at the
casing corner pieces.

EU Air Handling Unit INSTALLATION
Stacked installation
Units of the same width can be stacked on top of one
another. Up to three size 11–32 units can be stacked on
top of one another, but only two size 40–53 units can be
stacked. In the case of units of different widths, the
inspection sides should be located straight above one
another. An angle section should be located under the
rear frame section of the upper unit (length same as the
length of the lower unit), and a piece of bar for height
adjustment should be located under the front frame
section. Fit EUAZ-10 sealing strip around the opening
of the angle section before fitting the upper unit.
The EUAZ-16 jointing piece set is used for securing the
upper units to the lower as shown in Fig. 19.
The set consists of 6 angle brackets.
Use the angle bracket as a template and secure it to the
frame section with self-tapping screws.
Connecting multi-function blocks
Sealing strip is supplied loose and must thus be fitted
before the blocks are connected together. See Fig. 20
and 21.

EU Air Handling Unit INSTALLATION
Jointing of blocks
Internal bolted joints at the corners of the frame are
used for jointing the blocks to one another. Access to
the inside of the casing can be gained either by opening
an inspection door or by removing a wall panel.
Withdraw a unit section if it is in the way.
1. Fit the sealing strips supplied to the frame of one of
the blocks.
2. Push the blocks towards one another, making sure
that they are well lined up with one another. Fit the
cover plate delivered in the recess formed by the
frame sections at the bottom.
3. Fit the joint bolts into the corner brackets on the
inside of the frame and make sure that they are
firmly in position.
4. Use a 14 mm spanner for the joint bolts to pull the
blocks together.
5. Tighten all four joint bolts alternately, compressing
the seal to 1–2 mm.
6. Use the jointing compound supplied to seal the
insides of the side and bottom joints.
N.B. Make sure that the joint bolt is located in the
bottom of the screw pocket throughout the tighte-
ning process. The cone of the joint bolt will then fit
into the cone of the screw pocket (see Fig. 22).

Connection to next EU block
Fit the self-tapping screws in the existing holes in the
frame profiles, and tighten the connector with a size
14 spanner.
Connection to Regoterm (EURA) and
Jointing frame (EUVH c = 3, 4)
The connector is attached to the strut with self-tapping
screws and is tightened with a size 14 spanner.
Connection to Angle section (EUTA b = 1–4)
