3 Repeat Step 2, rst on the second cannon with two wheels
and then on the other 22 that you have assembled during
previous work sessions.
4 Install 10 cannons on the forecastle of the model, in the
positions shown in the photo.
1 With the pieces received with this stage, assemble two guns on
two wheels. en prepare the tackle of the guns by xing four
eyebolts on four blocks.
2
2 With two blocks with eyebolts and 0.15mm diameter thread,
make the side tackles of one of the two cannons (check against
Steps 2 to 9 of Stage 104).

6 Fix the guns of the forecastle in the centre of the gun ports.
en, with a 0.5mm bit, make two holes 5mm to the left and right
of each gun port, and glue the eyebolts on the cannons outer block
into these (see Stage 104).
8 Be careful: the central gun carriages facing the bow must be
2mm from the hole of the foremast. eir axes must therefore
be at a slight angle to the axis of the deck.
9 Repeat the
steps that you have

20 Wrap 0.15mm thread around six of the 4mm blocks that came
with Stage 90. With a simple knot, x each block to an eyebolt of
the top. Seal the knots with glue and cut the excess thread.
16 e plan that comes with this pack has drawings illustrating
all the pieces of each mast and the position of the blocks for the
rigging. Begin by assembling the bowsprit.
19 Place the top on your work surface and make two holes on the
platform. en glue two eyebolts in them.
21 is is what the six eyebolts of the top C1 look like when
equipped with the blocks. Check against the plans for assembling
the masts.

22 Take pieces 173 that came with Stage 98 and the pieces CD6
and CD7 that came with Stage 82. Paint the three caps (173 and
CD7) black and paint the bracket CD6 a sapele colour, then add a
coat of protective varnish.
23 Take the bowsprit 1A and glue the bracket CD6 on its
thinner end, taking care to align it with the centre of the rod.
Before beginning, check the plans.
24 Referring to the plan, make the woolding on the bowsprit. To do this, wrap the 0.15mm thread around the shaft 1A and x the
ends with a drop of glue. en x all the eyebolts and blocks on the shaft, carefully following all the measurements and positionings.
25 Glue the crosstree of the top C1 in the notch on the bracket CD6. Be careful: the top must be perfectly centred with respect to the

14 read the pieces E1 and E2 on the
main section of foremast 2A and glue
them in place, following the measurements
given in the plan of the masts assembly.
en, without using glue, check that
the foremast ts into the corresponding
housing on the decks of the model without
diculty. If necessary, sandpaper the piece
E2 lightly.

13
11 Take the die with the coaming E1 and the centring rings E2 of
the foremast that came with this stage. Separate the ve pieces with
a craft knife.
12 Using sandpaper or a small le, round o the top outer edge
of the coaming E1, then paint the piece black and put on a coat of
protective varnish.
14
13 Take the
sections 2A, 2B, 2C

18 With a 0.5mm bit, make four holes in the crosstree of the top
C2. Glue four eyebolts tted with blocks in them. Fix all the eyebolts
(with or without blocks) required on the tops and on the sections of
the foremast.
15 Following the plans,
make the gammoning
on the main section of
the foresmast 2A. To do
this, wrap the 0.15mm
thread around the rod
and x the ends with a
drop of glue.
17 Take the eyebolts, the 4mm blocks and the 0.15mm thread
left over from previous work sessions. Following the procedure
described in Step 20 of Stage 113, tie each block to an eyebolt with
the thread.
16 Take the foremast tops C2, C3 and C4, the three caps CM4
CE6, CF7 along with their respective mast cheeks CM9, CE8 and
CF9. Keep to hand the plans of the holes in the tops, and refer
to Stage 112. NOTE: If you did not attach the additional mast-
support shims to the crosstree of top C3 and the mast cap CE6 (see
arrows, above) you must do this now. See Steps 7 and 12 of Stage
103 for instructions on how to do this.
19 Prior to assembling the components of the foremast, keep in
mind, as is clear from the plan, that there must be 36mm between
the cap of the main section and the crosstree of the top C2.

28 Put a drop of wood glue on the edge of the hole and the points
of contact with the mast. Since wood glue dries slowly, you can, if
necessary, correct the position of the mast.
29 Set the foremast
into place, pushing
it to the bottom,
with the coaming
against the deck.
Make sure that the
mast is perfectly
aligned with the
longitudinal axis
of the hull.
27 Once assembled (the bowsprit was built in Stage 113), the
masts can be installed on the model. e foremast should be
housed in the hole in the forecastle.
26 Following the
procedure described
for the foremast,
join the pieces
making up the
mainmast (to the
left) and the mizzen
(to the right).
Always check
carefully against
the plan during

19 Tie a deadeye to the end of a piece of dark brown thread, then bind it for 7mm with the 0.15mm thread. Seal the knots with a drop of
glue. Repeat the operation with the other 19 pieces of thread.
21 Here we are going to show you how to prepare a tool to
assemble all the deadeyes of the shrouds at the same height. From
a 2 x 5 x 300mm strip that came with a previous stage, cut a piece
23mm long.

17 Now you have to make the shrouds of the foremast of the ship.
To do this, you need the 5mm deadeyes painted in Stage 97, as
well as the dark brown 0.5mm and light brown 0.15mm thread
that came with previous stages.
18 Cut 20 pieces of dark brown 0.5mm thread each 400mm long.
