II designs for SAB 193, 233, 283 and 355 screw
compressor units
Two new variants of SuperFilter
TM
II elements, double and triple length filters, were introduced in December 2014
to replace stacked single filters.
They eliminate the use of clamping plates with gaskets, threaded rods with washer and nuts and center seals be-
tween the multiple elements.
The new filters have one closed end and an open end with integrated flange and sealing face to be bolted directly
to the internal flange in the filter cavity.

• Simplified filter removal and installation
• Eliminate the risk of internal leakages
• Increase of filtration area, resulting in longer service life/decreased pressure drop

Spare parts and service
The new elements can easily be installed in former compressor units and directly replace the stacked filter inserts,
please refer to the table above. The surplus of parts for the stacked filters can be scrapped when new double/triple
length elements have been installed.
The single length filter, 531A0218H02, will be discontinued.

Mounting
Push the filter element directly into the filter cavity until the flange on the filter element reaches the flange in the
cavity.
Fasten the filter with the six bolts, M8x20, with washers, and tighten to 8 Nm torque. No separate gasket is needed
as there is an integrated gasket face on the filter element.

