Please read these instructions fully before starting construction.
PVA or equivalent glue will be required to stick sections together.
Sand paper can be used to gently clean any joints.
A sharp modelling knife will be required to remove sections from the sprue. Please use knives with due care and
remember to cut away from yourself at all times.
During the construction of this model, you may find it convenient to use pegs / elastic bands to hold pieces in
place while you allow glue to dry.
Each foot is formed from the pieces on the left.
Glue them together as shown on the right.
Attach the feet to the underside of the
undercarriage plate.
Take the pieces shown above from the sprue.
Attach the three main pieces together as shown.

Glue this assembly to the top of the undercarriage
plate.
Take this support piece.
Add it to the model.
Each thruster nozzle is formed from these pieces.
Attach the supports together as shown on the left.
Add the rings. Each ring has 4 flatter sections inside
it (one aligned with the sprue point) which go
against the supports.
Add the top plate.
(the two outer thrusters each use 2 top plates)
The stern plate.
Add the thrusters to the stern plate.
Then add the stern plate to the back of the model.

The sides of the cockpit.
Slide the lug into place on the thruster then push
the piece onto the lug of the control panel assembly
it is a tight fit so apply gentle pressure.
The top of the nose is formed from these parts.
Glue them together as shown so the supports lean
towards the thin end of the plate.
Add the grille to the front of the nose.
Then glue the top section into position.
The sides of the nose are formed from these parts.
Glue the supports to the back of each piece.
Then glue the side panels into position.
Add the front canopy support to the cockpit area.
The tail fin is made from these three pieces.
Glue the side pieces to the main tail piece.
Then glue the tail into place.
The only pieces you should have left at this point
are the four sections of the canopy.
We suggest you paint your model at this point
(see below) so you can access the cockpit area.
Attach the two sides of the canopy, carefully sliding
the front support lug into place.
Attach the top of the canopy.
Then slide the front of the canopy into place.
The finished model.
Painting
We assembled the entire model apart from the four canopy pieces, then sprayed the whole thing with a white car
undercoat aerosol.
Once dry we picked out the thruster nozzles (and the area below them),
nose grille, air intakes, weapons and the feet in black paint.
Apart from the thruster nozzles and feet, these areas were then dry
brushed with a silver colour.
The weapons also had some thin bands painted in red.
The pilot seat was painted cream, before the cushion areas were painted
with a leather colour.
The control panel lights were painted in random colours.
The four canopy pieces and squadron markings were picked out in blue.
After the canopy had been attached any paint splodges were tidied up.
