Preliminary information for installing the hood:
Expansion plugs are provided to secure the hood to most types of ceilings. A qualified technician is needed,
however, to make sure that the plugs are suitable for your ceiling. The ceiling must be strong enough to take
the weight of the hood.
WARNING
The installation of this hood requires the connection of a cable from the electrical outlet next to the
hole in the ceiling (3a) to the terminal board on the hood. Therefore disconnect the power supply
at the home main switch and make sure that it is not turned on again until installation is complete.
1.
Place the ceiling hole diagram directly above the cook-top (the centre of the diagram must match the centre
of the cook-top).
2.
Drill as shown (4 holes for 4 wall plugs).
3.
Drill an opening on the ceiling for the exhaust pipe (
3a
) and prepare the electrical outlet next to the exhaust
hole with a H05 VVF (3x0,75) cable connected (
3b
), ensuring the cable is long enough to reach the
connection box located on the hood (remove the grease filter to access the connection box).
Warning!
Make sure the cable is grounded.
4.
Fit an exhaust pipe (pipe and clamps are not supplied - it is advisable to use a non-flammable and extensible
pipe) and do the wiring.
5.
Insert 4 plugs in the holes.
6.
Place the support flange.
7.
Fix it to the ceiling with four 6x70 mm screws on the plugs (see step 6).
8.
Fix the flue to the flange with 4 screws, check that the panel is in the desired position, otherwise rotate the
flue by 1/4 turn until it is in place.
9.
Place the hood on a flat surface, under the flue and insert the cable from inside to outside.
10.
Open the connection box (remove the grease filter to access it), remove the service cable COMPLETELY
and connect the hood to the cable installed previously (see step
3b
), passing the cable through the slot of
the service cable.
11.
Fit 4 self-locking nuts on the bolts at the bottom of the flue.
12.
Connect the cable to the hood in the connection box (
THE LAW REQUIRES THAT THE APPLIANCE
IS EARTHED!
), then close the connection box.
13.
Connect the hood to the exhaust pipe and fix it to the flue using the bolts and holes on the hood (insert the
bolts through the holes and tighten the nuts).
14.
Make sure to tighten the 4 nuts completely.
15.
Fix the locking bracket to the front nut using a screw (SAFETY OPERATION THAT MUST BE
PERFORMED).
16.
Connect the panel provided to the cable and fit it in its special seat (light switch down - panel clicks into
place).
Refit the grease filter, turn the mains power on again at the home main switch and check for correct hood
operation.
