Installation
The EWB 210 series wall boxes can be mounted directly to a wall or to an existing
in-wall EU junction box. The illustrations for this procedure show the EWB 212.
Mount the EWB 211 in the same way.
Decide where to mount the wall box and how to run cables to it. You can use any
of the two openings in the EWB 211 (right and left sides) or four openings in the
EWB 212 (one on each side) with a surface raceway.
Fill any unused openings with knockout covers, as described below.
Knockout Covers
The rear panel has two (EWB 211) or four (EWB 212) covers that can be removed
to ll the openings that are not used.
1. Use small wire cutters to cut the plastic attaching the knockout cover to the
wall box.
2. Ensure the knockout cover is in the correct orientation and slide it into place.
NOTE: The larger knockout covers (see gure 4,
A
) have smaller
knockouts nested inside (
B
).
Use small wire
cutters to re

Wall studs should be used where possible. If they are not
available, use appropriate fasteners to secure the screws.
3. Select a suitable fastener and drill the holes (see the wall
mounting holes table on the previous page).
4. If required, insert a grounding screw (not provided, see figure 2,
D
and
E
on the previous page).
5. Fasten the wall box to the wall.
6. If required, install a cable raceway to manage the cables.
