EWB 700 User Guide
The Extron
®
EWB 700 is
an optional accessory for
mounting the TLP 700MV
touchpanel onto the surface
of various wall types (such as
drywall, wood, or masonry)
where it is not possible to
embed the touchpanel in
the wall. The EWB 700 has
knockouts that accept raceways
or conduit for running cables
over the surface of the wall to
the touchpanel.
The following items are
required for installation, but
are not supplied:
• Extron TLP 700MV (includes
Extron TR 700M Trim Ring)
• Four screws (Extron recommends a
minimum length of 1 inch, if possible)
• Power drill
• Drill bit that is appropriate for wall type
• Conduit or surface raceway to carry cables
• Screwdriver
• Level
Fastener Suggestions for Different Wall Types
Choose a type of screw or bolt that is appropriate for the wall (see table below). The
mounting holes in the back of the EWB 700 accommodate screws up to ¼ inch in diameter.

Mounting the EWB 700
1. If mounting to standard wood wall studs, locate
the center of the studs.
2. Place the EWB 700 against the wall in a suitable
location. Use a level to ensure the box is horizontal
and mark the position of the four holes.
3. If required, drill four holes into the wall.
4. Insert four screws (see the table above) and attach
the EWB 700 to the wall.
