3 Hole for Pop-Hole
3.1 Framing the Hole
The hole can be split up into smaller sections, one for
each bay.
There should be a distance of at least 100 mm from the
pop-hole to the nearest obstacle (column).
Important!
The permissible variation of the dimension of the hole
is +/- 5 mm.
It is important that the surface is level on the inside of
the door, where the rubber sealing will seal the door in
closed position.
Important!
It is important that the vertical sides are perpendicular
to the horizontal sides.
Tip Use a square to make the sides perpendicular.
Tip Use a properly tightened wire as guide when cutting
the hole.

3.2 PVC Frame the Hole
Frame the entire hole intended for the pop-hole.
The frame can also be purchased through SKOV A/S.

Position mounting and sealing PVC frame.
Note:1.You should be seal gap to protect dirt and dust everything get inside.
2.Make sure PVC frame is align straight with the corner piece.
*Is not supplied by SKOV A/S.
Use scribe line as a mark for
the screw position.

3.3 Marking up the Panel Door, Cutting the Panels into Size
The panel itself must be 50 mm thick and 20 mm
smaller than the hole for the tunnel door (a gap of 10
mm all way round).
If possible, use a standard panel.
So, the size cutting of Panel door are
Height = H - 20mm and Length = L-20mm.
The door panel can be purchased through SKOV
A/S.
Cut the SKOV alloy door flange, so the corners have
an angle of 45°.
Rubber molding must mounted in the groove of the
alloy flange.
Make sure that the SKOV alloy frame pressed tightly
to the panel and drill holes for the blind rivets.
Make the first hole 60 mm from the corner. The
following holes are spaced 250 mm apart.
The blind rivets must be mounted on both sides of the
alloy frame.
Make sure that there is an overlap (displacement) of at
least 500 mm on the SKOV alloy frame, if the door
made out of more than one panel.

3.4 Mounting Hinges
Mount the first hinge 250 mm from the corner of the
door.
The following hinges are spaced max. 1500 mm apart.
Drill the four holes in the alloy frame2 and mount the
hinge by means of four bolts as shown.
Mounting hinges with frame or sandwich wall at top
portion of doors.
Type A: Self-cutting screw 6.3x25
Mounting the hinges on the PVC Frame or steel
profile by means of self-cutting screws.
Type B: Tapping screw 5x16
Mounting the hinges on the sandwich wall sheet metal
thicknesses between 0.4 to 2.0 mm
Make the pilot-hole ø2.0 mm and then mount the
tapping screw.

3.5 Build the Step at the Bottom Part of Door
Top and side should be constructed of PVC frame
from SKOV.
Bottom area of the door can be constructed in two
ways see Figure below
A. Fully cemented bottom area.
B. PVC frame & cement base.
3.6 Mounting the Door Brackets for the Racks
Mount the door brackets for the racks on the tunnel door (on the outside). Maximum distance from each end is
1000 mm. The maximum distance between them should not exceed 3000 mm.
The brackets for the racks must mounted, so the distance from the bottom of the frame door and to the center of
the door brackets (holes) is A, Dimensioning Table for different Wall

5.3 Mounting the Racks and Pinion Housing
Place the square bolt in the outside end of the rack to
prevent the door from falling in if problems with the
limit switches or a broken gearbox in the motor
should occur.
Mount all racks to the door brackets.
5.4 Mounting the Chain Bolt Coupling and Sprocket Motor and
Chain
Mounting 3 parts are 1 set before connect to drive shaft and motor.
5.5 Mounting the Chain Bolt Coupling set with Motor
Mounting Chain bolt coupling set with motor by bolt set.
Please remember to check the rotation direction of motor
before connect the end of chain bolt coupling with drive shaft.
Otherwise the pop-hole or the toothed gearing perhaps
damaged.
Caution: The chain transfer the motor to the drive shaft must
be checked and maintained at an appropriate timing.

7 Adjusting the Open and Closed Position
1) Check direction
When the motor is installed mechanically and electrically, check if the motor runs the right way ?
6.1.1 Turn on 220V power
6.1.2 Put the AUT/MAN-switch at MAN:
6.1.3 Put the - 0 - switch at (open)
6.1.4 If the motor opens the house ?
6.1.5 If not, then switch around the red and blue wires (switch OFF 220V power when moving
wires)
6.1.6 Check again if opens the house ?
6.1.7 Put the AUT/MAN-switch at AUT (at the DA 73 Motor controller box)
6.1.8 Set the house computer in MANUAL in the service menu
6.1.9 Set the house computer to 100% opening
6.1.10 Check that the motor opens the house ?
6.1.11 If not, then switch around the wires to the terminal-blocks Y1 and Y2.
(switch OFF 220V power when mowing wires)
Cautions:
In case of power failure after the start up you should be aware that the system starts again by itself when power
is obtained again. The controller must be used in manual mode only for safety of any operator working around
the pop-hole opening or at the motor.

2) Close the door to close position. Adjust the door if the door is not completely closed.
Loosen the tailstock screws in the pinion house. Adjust the closed position of the door by pushing or
pulling the rack. Tighten the tailstock screws again.
3) When the rotation direction of shaft is correctly and the door is close position.
Make 2 holes for connect the drive shaft with the end of chain bolt coupling by bolt set.
4) Setting the the limit switch for close position .Test again by letting the DA 73 motor reach the
mechanical end stop. Adjust again, if required, until the door closes correctly.
5) Test open the door until about 100 degree and stop motor again. Setting the limit switch for open
position.
6) Test again by letting the DA 73 motor reach the mechanical. Adjust again, if required, until the door
open and closes correctly.
