1 Product Description
DA 73 220 V is a drive motor designed to control the opening and closing of the Tunnel Door. e.g. in livestock
house ventilation systems.
DA 73 220 V permit independent adjustment of pulling length and pulling direction. DA 73 consist of a gear
motor and controller box. The drive motor is relay controlled and can be stepless controlled between open and
closed position. In manual position, the motor can be opened manually, stopped or closed with the manual
switch at the controller box. DA 73 has integrated limit switches and internal current limiter.
The control box can be placed as required within 1.8 m from the gear motor.

2 Mounting Guide
Before installation, check the following:
A. Check the house according to drawings as regards positioning
B. Check the part delivery according to order/parts list

2.2 Check Direction
When the motor is installed mechanically and electrically, check if the motor runs the right way ?
• Turn on 220 V power
• Put the AUT/MAN-switch at MAN:
• Put the - 0 - switch at (open)
• If the motor opens the house ?
• If not, then switch around the red and blue wires (switch OFF 220 V power when moving wires)
• Check again if opens the house ?
• Put the AUT/MAN-switch at AUT (at the DA 73 Motor controller box)
• Set the housecomputer in MANUAL in the servicemenu
• Set the housecomputer to 100% opening
• Check that the motor opens the house ?
• If not, then switch around the wires to the terminal-blocks Y1 and Y2.
(switch OFF 220 V power when mowing wires)

2.3 Limit Range Adjusting
1. Loosen the left and right lock bolts by a cross head screw driver, make sure that the gear pins do not
touch the micro switches.
2. Turn on the power, and make the motor run, confirm the direction of the door opening or closing.
3. When the door is opening, rotate any of the knobs slowly, and make the gear pin touch the micro
switch (with click sound) , if the motor stops running, it means this knob is used for the open-direction
you need; if the motor do not stop running, then the other knob is used to control the open-direction.
4. When the door is opening, and the door arrives at the required position, then quickly rotate the knob
which controls the open direction and make the gear pin touch the micro switch (with click sound),
hold on and fasten the lock bolt by a cross head screw driver.
5. When the motor is closing and, the pipe arrives at the required position, then quickly rotate the knob
which controls the closing direction and make the gear pin touch the micro switch (with click sound) ,
hold on and fasten the lock bolt by a cross head screw driver.
6. The above steps would set up the limit range of the motor. Turn on the power and check if the range
setup is correct. If it is not correct, please review the manual carefully and redo the above step-5 again.
After the limit adjust is finished.
Make sure to fasten the lock bolts. Or the limit will not be accurate

2.4 Installation Diagram
Please operate this gear motor according to the correct installation diagram. Correct installation guarantee the
performance of the gear motor. After the installation, the cable should be connected into the control box, then
turn on the power, adjust the limit switch to proper position, and then fasten the lock bolts. If the power failure
during the operation of the gear motor, and you would like to open or close the tunnel door or shutter urgently,
you can hold the tunnel door or the shutter and loosen connection between the pipe shaft and gear motor, then
open or close the tunnel door and shutter slowly.

2.5 Positioning the Control Box
Place the control box in appropriate height for operation and the installed cable.
Mount the cables in the box according to the circuit diagram.

Qualified personnel must perform installation, service and fault-finding of all electrical equipment
in accordance with the applicable national and international standard EN 60204-1 and any other
EU standards that are applicable in Europe.
The installation of a power supply isolator is required for each motor and power supply to
facilitate voltage-free work on the electrical equipment. SKOV A/S does not supply the power
supply isolator.
