4Glue the interior decks 21, 22, 23 and 24 onto the vertical keel 1between the corresponding frames. Once the main deck 25 is fitted into the two

slots in the stern bulkhead 16, use the nails 26 to attach the main deck and the upper deck on the bridgedeck 27 onto the various frames and

vertical keel (broken red lines), ensuring that the two decks are centred so that one of the frames makes a 90º angle to the vertical keel. Glue the

frames with a mixture of white glue and 30 per cent water.

5Modelling the hull

5Round off the structure to remove any rough edges from the frames and strengtheners until you have achieved a definite curve and the hull can be

easily fitted. Use a medium-grain file, then smooth off with a fine-grain file to do this. You can also use a mini-drill with the sander accessory to

remove any sharp edges, especially on the stern and bow. Pay particular attention to filing the bow and stern of the vertical keel, which should be

approximately 2mm thick.
