• Start SWLINK and click on
Control unit->Subtype->Update
fi rmware
: the SWFWUPDATER programme will start automatically.
• Choose the control unit to update and the proper fi le to launch
to complete the procedure.
• Then continue with the control unit's FW updating instructions that
follow, in the relative User's Manual .
WARNING! In the SWFWUPDATER and SWLINK software, the control
units with expanded inputs and outputs are called CP4044E,
CP4092E and CP8192E.

ACQUIRING INPUT EXPANSION MODULES IN CONTROL UNIT
The local input expansion module has 1 as permanent address and the control units are not enabled to expand by factory default.
To enable the control unit to expand inputs, do the following:
ACQUIRING INPUT EXPANSION MODULES ON BUS
The system cannot have bus input expansion modules with the same addresses.
All expansions are made with address 2 and the control units do not have any enabled, factory-default expansions.
To enable the control unit to expand, do the following:
STEP 1: Address the expansion
1. Set the address on the expansion that you want to assign using the
