Software installation
Insert the CD-ROM into the drive and wait for the
installation window (or launch the fi le
setup.exe
from the
folder
RBM84 st. 3.x
on your PC, if you copied locally).
After selecting the language of your choice, follow the
instructions in the installation procedure on the screen.
CAUTION! Windows 7 and Windows 8
users must change software installation
path by creating a new folder on local
drive C:\.
Minimum system requirements:
Operating System: Windows XP Professional / Windows 7 Professional / Windows 8 Professional;
RS232 serial port (alternatively use a USB/RS232 converter by installing the appropriate drivers).
The name of the
installation folder can be
customised.

In the configuration screenpage “PC30”, you must select the PC input port that connects Pc30 (usually COM1).
Caution! This should be done before starting any programming and / or configuration
described in the following pages and the sections that follow, otherwise the
software, at any request of updating/saving, will report a COMMUNICATION ERROR.

In the Rbm84 card, Confi guration area, set the number of Rem/TOR connected, clicking on "N. REM" and using the arrows.
(clicking the arrow increases the
Rem/TOR number one unit at a time)
Click x 1
Click "Output Name"
Type, in the "OUTPUT DEFINITION" box, the name desired for the
outputs connected to Rbm84 and Rem/TOR
This procedure is optional: the system assigns a default
name for each output available in the system "from "Output
1" to "Output 128).
(The fi rst 8 outputs are for Rbm84 land the others for Rem/TOR)
We recommend giving a name to each output in order to
simplify subsequent confi guration operations.

2. Select group to set
3. Assign name to selected group
4. Assign a function to single group:
Disabled allows no operation to the entire group
Entry / Exit allows standard entry / exit operations to the group
Security allows entry at any time, even if the access is performed during locked time slots.
Privileged allows entry to a specifi cally created group, even if the access is performed during locked
time slots.
5. Select day to set.
6. Select time slot to set.
7. Assign a function to the single time slot:
Enabled allows the group to enter and exit in the set time slot
Locked no entry or exit allowed
Input allows only entry in the time slot set
Exit allows only exit in the time slot set
8. Select time slot start time
9. Select time slot end time
10. Associate a credit value to the time slot.
11. The "Copy" button duplicated settings for all days of the week.
12. Click "OK" once settings are complete.

Pass based entry
With parking pass use, ir is possible to confi gure the zones inside the main system, which are accesses with di erent fees.
For example, a sports centre where the main fee is pay per time, can have other areas where the fee is calculated as a fi xed amount
each time.

with Prepaid access, Personnel access group

2. Select tra c light to set.
3. Assign name to selected tra c light
4. Assign a maximum number of spaces to parking
5. If there are occupied parking during installation, simply mark these in the occupied box.
6. Select type of function:
Autonomous the tra c light is considered independently and not counted in total
Full the tra c light is part of a group of lights, when all are full the system will signal full
7. Click to set the values assigned to the tra c light selected.
Caution: after setting name and parameters of the tra c light, click on the left arrow otherwise the new parameters entered will
not be recorded when changing tra c light.

In the area "Local Sensors" of the Rbm84 card, the type,
function and association of each control device connected to
the Rbm84 must be confi gured. The sensor number corresponds
with the sensor connected to the terminal block and marked
with the same number, see fi gure.
In the "Type" dropdown menu select the type of sensor
connected:
- Disabled
- Keypad S5000/S6000/S7000
- Radio T432A/T302A/TAM
- Rolling code “Atomo”
- Transponder TSP00/LT001
- Radio T432M/S
and confi rm with "OK"
In the "Function" dropdown menu select the function of the
sensor connected:
- Entry / Exit
- Entry
- Exit
- Internal access
- Entry with credit pass (prepaid pass)
- Exit with credit pass (prepaid pass)
and confi rm with "OK"

2. Tick the group of users, in the "Group" window, to which the device will be associated and confi rm with "OK".
Caution! This is not an optional procedure, at least one group must be ticked. The "All" button (dis)associates all user
groups to the device.
The BLUE numbers are enabled groups, while RED are disabled.

Confi guring the outputs connected to Rbm84
The outputs connected to Rbm84 in the “Ooutputs”
card must be programmed with the type of function and
activation time of the relative relay;
If no operators are connected, select or leave "Disabled"
as proposed in the menu.
The output number corresponds with the sensor
connected to the terminal block and marked with the
same number, see fi gure.
1. Select output (1÷8).
2. Associate the output to one of the names/
devices in the dropdown menu
The dropdown menu of the "Local Exits" area show the tra c light and normal exits by default as defi ned in "Assigning
a name to outputs".
The output/control device match is independent of the physical connection of the latter on Rbm84 or Rem;

Bistable relay
No time adjustment
The relays of the Rbm84 card can be set in
"Monostable" or "Bistable"
When in Monostable, relay triggering time can be set
(from 1 second to 10 minutes).

All additional command and control devices (such
as safety buttons, sensitive mats, alarms, etc.) must be
programmed in the digital inputs confi guration card that
are connected to Rbm84 and that act on any output,
whether Rbm84 or Rem.
N.B. There are also di erent functions from those that are
standard outputs:
-Lock
-Alarm input
-Alarm reset
-Parking input
-Parking output.
Select, for each input, an output/device that will receive the
action of said digital device; tick the relative box if the device
contact is NC (normally closed).

In the Rem confi guration car, program,
as for Rbm84, all control devices, and
digital I/O connected;
to switch between Rem, click on the yellow
arrow or icon.
Example of REM icon window: can be green (=
communicating), or red (= non-communicating)
The name entered serves to recognise the output:
this makes it possible to display the event log at entry
in order.
