In order to use this product as a Harley Davidson ECM data-link unit for Dynojet Power Core software the
entire Power Vision Software Suite must also be installed to the dyno computer in order for the appropriate
usb drivers to subsequently be installed. Please refer to the supplied Power Vision Quickstart guide for
further information regarding the software installation. Also be sure to check your current Windows
operating system version (32-bit or 64-bit) to verify that you are installing the appropriate Power Vision
software version. See the supplied addendum for further info.
GETTING STARTED:
1.) Connect the appropriate Power Vision
cable to the bike’s data port. (See “Diagnostic
Connector Locations” of the PV Quick Start
guide for more info.) Also connect the same
cable to the Power Vision screen.
2.) Prior to turning the bike ON, connect the
USB cable to the Power Vision screen from
the dyno computer from which you are running
the Dynojet Power Core Software. Note: This
device must be in “PC Link Mode” for the
Dynojet Power Core Software to be able to
establish a communication link. To enter “PC
Link Mode” you must connect the USB cable
from the computer before turning the bike ON.
Make sure you see “PC Link Mode Active” (Fig.
A) or “PC-Link RT” (Fig. B) before turning the
bike ON.
3.) Launch Winpep 8 Dyno Control from the
Power Core Software Application Launcher.

SELECTING CHANNELS TO IMPORT:
1.) The Dynojet Power Core Software will
automatically select and import all available
data channels from the Power Vision unit upon
connection. This will allow all Harley Davidson
ECM data channels to be seen, viewed, or
logged into dyno run files. You can select the
only specific channels you wish to import from
the Power Vision if desired. You can select
some PV data channels or you can select all
available PV channels. From the Home screen
of Winpep 8 Dyno Control, click the “Select
Channels” button (Fig. C).
2.) In the proceeding “Select Channels”
window, locate the folder titled “Power Vision.”
Check the box next to “Power Vision” to select
all Power Vision channels, or check only the
specific channels that you wish to import from
inside the Power Vision (Fig. D). Click OK.

SELECTING LIVE CHANNELS IN THE MAKE RUN SCREEN:
1.) After you have the desired channel
selections imported from the Select Channels
window and the device is in “PC-Link RT”
mode, you should be able to right-click on any
gauge in the Dyno Control software and select
an available PV Channel to stream into the
gauge (Fig. E).

1.) If you have a run file opened in the Winpep
8 Data Center that has Power Vision channel
streams recorded within it, you should be
able to select, view, and graph those channel
streams along side all of the standard channels,
such as HP, Torque, AFR, RPM, etc. From the
graph screen with the dyno run opened, click
on the currently viewed channel on any graph
axis. Move to the Power Vision sub-directory.
Then move to the General sub-directory. Then
click the specific Power Vision channel from the
list that you wish to graph (Fig. F).
