Dynojet Updating WinPEP From CD allows you to update the WinPEP application, including manuals, hardware, support programs, and WinPEP itself. This update also contains Adobe Acrobat Reader, which allows you to view the manuals included on the CD.

With this device, you can:

  • Update your WinPEP application to the latest version
  • Install the latest manuals to your hard drive
  • View the Dynojet Installation and User manuals on your computer screen
  • Select the language you prefer the units to be displayed in
  • Enter the Torque Module information
  • Add program icons to the Program Folder
  • Place a WinPEP icon on the start menu

torque module information. To ensure safety and accuracy in the procedures, perform
the procedures as they are described.

UPDATING WINPEP
The WinPEP update CD contains everything you need to update the WinPEP
application including manuals, hardware, support programs, and WinPEP itself. This
CD also contains Adobe Acrobat Reader which allows you to view the manuals
included on the CD. Use the following instructions as a guide to update WinPEP for
Windows®95/98.
Note: It is strongly recommended that you exit all other Windows programs
before running this setup program.
1 Insert the Dynojet Update CD in your CD driver.
2Click Update WinPEP to begin.

3 Read the WinPEP Welcome screen and click Next to continue.

4 Carefully read the WinPEP license agreement and click Yes to continue.
To install WinPEP, you must accept this agreement. If you choose No, setup will
close.

5 Select the installation of WinPEP to update and click Next.

6 Select the type of dynamometer you are updating and click Next.

7 Select the dynamometer hardware.
• If you have a hardware stack, select Dynoware EX+.
Note: If you have Dynoware EX+, it will already be selected.
• If you do not have a hardware stack, select Internal PC Card.

7a Click Next to continue.
Note: If you do not have the Dynoware EX+ hardware, skip to step #9.

8 Select any additional modules that you purchased for your Dynoware EX+
hardware and click Next to continue.

9 Select the manuals to be installed.
Dynojet recommends that you leave the Copy Manuals box checked. This will
install the latest manuals to your hard drive.
The manuals are accessible from the CD at any time.
9a Select Copy Manuals to install the latest manuals.
OR
Click on the Copy Manuals text to choose which manuals you want to
install.
Note: If you are unable to view this manual on your computer screen, select the
Install Acrobat Reader box. Acrobat Reader will allow you to view the Dynojet
Installation and User manuals on your computer screen.

10 Select the language you prefer the units to be displayed in and click Next.

11 Review the selected components and click Next to continue.
OR
Click Back to make additional changes.

12 Enter the Torque Module information.
If you selected Torque Module in step #8, you will now be prompted for
additional information. If you did not select Torque Module, skip to step #13.
12a Enter the calibration number stamped on the Torque Module Calibration
Arm. Use the calibration arm with the extension unless you do not have
enough space in your dyno room.
If you will be using the calibration arm without the extension, use the
number stamped on the main bar in the Torque Module Package. If you will
be using the calibration arm with the extension, use the number stamped on
the extension.
Note: Follow the directions on the screen exactly. Failure to perform the
directions accurately will result in improper torque values.
Note: You must re-calibrate your torque module if you change the number listed
above.
12b Click Next to continue.

At this point, the selected manuals will be copied to the WinPEP directory and Acrobat
Reader, if selected, will automatically install itself.
Setup will automatically add program icons to the Program Folder. You may type a
new folder name or select one from the Existing Folders list.
13 Click Next to continue.

14 Click Yes if you would like a WinPEP icon placed on the start menu.
15 Click Finish to complete the setup

The update is complete. You may now run the updated program by double-clicking
the program icon. Reading and understanding the Dynojet Installation and User
manuals will assist you in getting the most out of your investment.
