8. PROCEDURE
8.1. Install the stereo switch.
8.1.1. Remove the anchor light switch knob from the post.
8.1.1. Using the measuring tape, measure 2 1/2” in from
the anchor light switch post center and using the
pencil, strike a vertical mark.
8.1.1.1. Using the measuring tape, measure 1 3/8”
UP from the radius and using the pencil,
strike a horizontal mark which intersects the
mark made in the previous step.
8.1.2. Using the drill w/ 7/16” drill bit, drill through the console
at the center of the marks made in steps 8.1.1. & 8.1.2.
8.1.3. Remove brass nut from accessory switch.

8.1.4. Insert the switch, from under the console, into the hole drilled in step 8.1.2.
8.1.5. Replace the brass nut.
8.1.6. Using the pliers secure the switch to
the console.
8.1.7. Place the knobs onto the switches.
8.1.8. Apply stereo label to console
8.2. Install the stereo unit.
8.2.1. Using the measuring tape, measure 3” in from the port
edge of the console and using the pencil, strike a vertical
mark.
8.2.2. Using the measuring tape, measure 1 3/4” DOWN from
the top edge of the console and using the pencil, strike a
horizontal mark which intersects the mark made in the
previous step.
8.2.3. Using the drill with the 3/4” hole saw, cut through the
console at the center of the marks made in steps
8.2.1. & 8.2.2.

8.2.4. Insert stereo cord into hole drilled
in the previous step.
8.2.4.1. Align stereo unit on face of
console.
8.2.5. While holding the stereo unit in
position, use the drill w/ 9/64” bit to
slightly mark the console through
the attachment holes in the stereo
unit.

w/countersink, drill and slightly
countersink at the marks made in
the previous step.

the holes drilled in the

8.2.5. Using the Phillips head bit and
hardware supplied, secure the
stereo unit to the console.
8.3. Install the auxiliary input jack (130SS only)
8.3.1. Measure 5/8” out from the radius on the starboard
flat face of the storage pocket located on the
starboard side of the console. Using the pencil
make a vertical mark.
8.3.2. Measure 1 1/4” up from the base of the flat face of
the storage pocket. Using the pencil make a
horizontal mark to intersect the mark made in the
previous step.
8.3.3. Using the drill w/ 11/16” drill bit, drill through the
console at the intersection of the marks made in
steps 8.3.1. & 8.3.2.
8.3.4. Remove the nut from the back of the input jack.
8.3.5. insert the jack wires and jack into the hole made in
step 8.3.3.
8.3.6. Replace the nut and secure the input jack by
tightening the nut from the underside of the console.

8.4. Install the auxiliary input jack (150SS only)
8.4.1. Measure 5/8” out from the radius on the starboard
flat face of the storage pocket located on the
starboard side of the console. Using the pencil
make a vertical mark.
8.4.2. Measure 3/4” up from the base of the flat face of
the storage pocket. Using the pencil make a
horizontal mark to intersect the mark made in the
previous step.
8.4.3. Using the drill w/ 11/16” drill bit, drill through the
console at the intersection of the marks made in
steps 8.4.1. & 8.4.2.
8.4.4. Remove the nut from the back of the input jack.
8.4.5. insert the jack wires and jack into the hole made in
step 8.4.3.
8.4.6. Replace the nut and secure the input jack by
tightening the nut from the underside of the console.
8.5. Install the speaker box.
8.5.1. Using the measuring tape, measure up 1/2” from the
edge of the backside of the console.
8.5.1.1. Place the bracket on the mark made in the
previous step making sure that it is centered
under the steering hub.
8.5.1.2 Using 3 #8 x 1/2” truss head screws, secure
the bracket to the console.

8.5.2. Using the measuring tape, measure down 1 1/2” from
the console radius on the reinforcement block located
in the upper forward area under the console.
8.5.2.1. Place the plastic support strap on the mark
made in the previous.
8.5.2.2. Using 3 #10 x 1” truss head screws, secure
the strap to the reinforcement block.
8.5.3. Rest the notched end of the speaker box on the
bracket installed in step 8.4.2.
8.5.4. Insert the plastic support installed
in step 8.5.2. into the slot in the
upper forward section of the
speaker box.
8.5.4.1. Adjust the speaker box
to a level position and
using the “C” clamp,
secure the speaker box
To the plastic strap.
8.5.4.2. Using the hardware
supplied, secure the
speaker box to the
underside of the
console.
NOTE: Thru-bolt plastic strap to speaker box.

8.6. Mount the stereo control box under the bench.
8.6.1. Place the control box in the
space under the bench on the
starboard side of the boat 2”
aft of the forward flange of
the seat.
NOTE: Assure that the wire
bundle faces the
starboard side of the
bench.
8.6.2. While holding the box to the underside of the
bench, use the pencil to mark the bench
through the screw holes in each side of the
control box.
8.6.3. Using the drill with 1/8” drill bit, drill the bench at the
marks made in the previous step.
NOTE: Drill only deeply enough to penetrate the
fiberglass layer. DO NOT drill into or through
the core material.
8.6.4. Using #8 x 5/8” truss head screws, secure the control
box to the underside of the bench.

8.7. Run the wiring harness.
8.7.1. Using the harness adapter
(PN# 1952631) supplied,
attach the harness to the
control box.
8.7.2. Run the harness along the
starboard side of the boat to
the underside of the
console.
NOTE: Secure the harness
to the existing main
harness with tie
wraps.
8.7.3. Run the battery cable to the battery along
the underside of the bench alongside the
loom presently in place.
NOTE: Secure the cable at intervals to the
existing main harness with tie
wraps.

8.8. Install the speakers.
8.8.1. Insert the speaker wires from the harness into
the top of the speaker box.
NOTE: There is a set of wires for each
speaker.
8.8.2. Attach the speaker wires to the speakers.
NOTE: Assure that the brass lead is attached
to the large square terminal.
8.8.3. Using four (4) #8 x 1” truss head screws,
secure the each speaker to the speaker box.
