8. PROCEDURE
8.1. Using the pencil, mark the starboard sidewall 3/4” down from
the forward deck.
8.2. Lay the straightedge on the top of the forward deck and
using the pencil mark a line at the aft base of the
straightedge 34” from the forward deck.
8.3. Using the pencil mark a line 3/4” down from the line made
in the previous step.
8.4. Measure 15 3/8” & 30 ¾” aft of the forward deck and using
the pencil mark a vertical line.

8.5. Place the side brace on the side wall and
align the top of the brace with mark made in step 8.3.
NOTE: Make sure that the center of the notches in the
braces are aligned with the vertical marks made
in step 8.4.
Brace will be 2 ½” aft of the forward deck.
8.6. While holding the brace firmly in position, use the pencil
to mark the sidewall through the predrilled holes (7) in
the brace.
8.7. Remove the brace, and using the 5/32” drill bit
w/countersink, drill and countersink a hole at each of the
marks (7) made in step 8.6.
NOTICE
Assure that the countersink is wider than the
screw threads to prevent gelcoat cracks.
8.8. Apply marine sealant to each hole drilled in the previous
step.

8.9. Using the #10 screws (supplied), secure the brace to the
sidewall
NOTICE
Extra hardware is provided, DO NOT USE
DEFORMED OR DAMAGED HARDWARE
8.10. Install the port sidewall brace by repeating steps 8.1. through 8.9.
8.11. On the aft face of the forward deck use the pencil to mark a
line 3/4” down from the deck.
8.11.1. Using the pencil, make a mark on the forward deck wall
9 ¼” inboard from the port and starboard side wall.
8.12. Place the forward brace on the wall aligned with the marks
made in the previous step.

8.13. While holding the brace firmly in position use the pencil to
mark the forward wall through the predrilled holes (6) in
the brace.
8.14. Remove the brace and using the 5/32” drill bit
w/countersink, drill and countersink a hole at each of the
marks made in step 8.13.
NOTICE
Assure that the countersink is wider than the
screw threads to prevent gelcoat cracks.
8.15. Apply marine sealant to each of the holes drilled in the
previous step.
8.16. Using the #10 screws (supplied), secure the brace to the
forward wall.

8.17. Install the starboard unit first. Make sure the hook on the
bottom engages with the notch on the sidewall brace.
NOTICE
Assure that the leg is extended fully prior to
installing the starboard section of the sun
lounge.
8.17.1.1. Engage barrel bolt into forward cleat.
8.18. Install the port unit making sure that the hook and the notch
on the sidewall brace engage.
8.18.1.1. Engage barrel bolt into starboard filler.

8.19. The brace on the underside of the port unit should engage the
slot on the starboard unit.
Installing Sun Lounge Cushions
8.20. Starting at a corner of either cushion, and using the pencil,
make a mark on the sun lounge base corresponding (just
under) to each snap on the underside perimeter of the
cushion.
8.21. Remove the cushion and drill a 1/8” hole at each mark made in
the previous step.
8.22. Using the drill with #2 Phillips head bit, insert a snap receiver
into each of the holes drilled in the previous step.
