Stage 114: Fitting the body

114A. Fuel ller cap
114B. Fuel ller gasket
114C. Tow bar
114D. Electrical socket

QP. 1.2 x 5mm screws

4Fit the electrical socket cover (114E) with the socket (114D).
Tighten a QP screw through the aligned holes.
2Secure the fuel filler cap with a CP screw.
7Connect the green/black (rear lights), blue/black (interior
lighting) and green/white (licence plate light) cables. 8Carefully lower the body onto the chassis. Hide the double red
cable between the dashboard and the windshield (top left) and
route the red/white cable connector through the left side opening in
the storage compartment (above left).
1Slide the fuel filler cap (114A) through the gasket (114B) and into
the indicated hole in the body.
3Fix the tow bar (114C) to the underside of the chassis with two
OM screws.
5Fix the socket to the chassis with a BP screw. Fit the end of
blue/green cable into the socket, as shown. 6Connect the double red cable from the circuit board to the interior
light switch. Then connect the red/white cable from the board to
the cable from the headlights.

11 Turn on the power switch located in the storage compartment
to test the model’s electrical system. 12 The clock on the dashboard should be illuminated. Press the
button next to the steering wheel (middle circle) and you will
hear the engine sound. Pressing the round button (left circle) you
will hear the horn sound.
10 Tighten a further two CM screws into the indicated holes.
9Secure the body to the chassis with four CM screws in the
positions shown.
13 The headlights should illuminate when the power is on. 14 The rear lights illuminate when the power is on. When
you press the brake pedal (inset), the rear lights will
become brighter.
15Opening the driver’s door will cause the interior light to
come on.

3Raise the bonnet and install the battery as shown. 4Fix the licence plate to the front of the car with two UM screws.
5Remove the backing paper from the nodding dogs supplied in
Stage 109. Fix them to the dashboard in the positions shown. 6Insert the valve into the wheel from Stage 113.
2 Press the battery terminals (115C) into the holes in the battery.
1Secure the battery base (115B) to the battery (115A) with a
CP screw.

7Place the wheel hub (114H) onto the left side of the
caravan frame. 8Place the wheel and washer onto the hub and secure with an SM
screw. Then place the hubcap (115E) into the centre of the wheel.

2Fit the caravan leading wheel (116D) into the wheel holder
(116G). Secure from either side with GM screws.
1 Fix the rear licence plate (116A) to the back of the car with four
UM screws.
3Slide the nut (116I) over the axle (116C). Turn it onto the
threaded portion of the axle. 4Insert the crank into the hole in the wheel mount. Secure with
a BM screw.

6Fix the assembly to the caravan drawbar (116B) with two GM
screws, as shown.5 Place the axle mount (116H) over the nut.

3Place the cup (117C) into the washer (117D) and fix to the space
in the top of the bracket with an RP screw. 4Tie the free end of the bonnet stop through the smaller hole of the
bonnet stop loop (117E).
5Fix the loop to the bracket with a BP screw. 6Insert the caravan coupling handle (117G) into the rectangular
hole in the coupling (117F). Secure from either side with
two GM screws.
2 Place the bracket between the engine and the body.
1Fit the engine suspension bracket upper (117A) into the holes in
the engine suspension bracket (117B).

7 Place the spring on the end of the coupling and then place them
both into the space in the drawbar.
9Secure the chain (117I) to the spring cover with an AM screw.
8 Place the spring cover (116E) over the spring and secure in place
with two GM screws.

Stage 118: The windscreen

2Align the windscreen (118A) with the opening in the car and
carefully press it into place.
1 Attach the strips of adhesive tape (118E) around the windscreen
openings in the locations shown. Remove the backing paper.
3Insert the end of the caravan left leg (118D) into the caravan
leg hinge (118C). Make sure the holes align and fix the pieces
together with an NM screw.
4Place the hinge onto the caravan frame.

6Fix the caravan leg support (118B) over the end of the leg with a
KM screw.5 Secure the hinge to the frame with an AM screw.

3Align a wiper mount (119C) with the hole at the end of the arm.
Secure in position with an LP screw. 4Insert the mount into the left hole under the windscreen.
The blade should rest on the screen.
5Fix the second wiper arm to the right wiper blade (119D) with
an LP screw. 6Fix the second wiper mount to the right arm with an LP screw.
2Secure one of the wiper arms (119A) to the centre of the left
wiper blade (119B). The left blade has a straight edge. Secure
the parts with an LP screw.
1Insert the windscreen washer jets (119E) into the indicated holes
in the body.

7 Insert the mount into the other free hole below the windscreen.
9Secure the hinge to the frame with an AM screw. 10Fix the caravan leg support (119G) over the end of the leg
with a KM screw.
8 Insert the end of the caravan right leg (119H) into the caravan
leg hinge (119F). Make sure the holes align and fix the pieces
together with an NM screw.
