Description
This Product Notice informs you of a potential anomaly that exists with the CENTERLINE 2100 LVMCC. Screws
used to secure 30A through 400A fuse clips to both the 1494 disconnect and the corresponding trailer fuse block or
30A through 400A fuse clips used with a 140M circuit breaker may not have been tightened to the correct torque.
Under torqued connections may result in overheating at the connection. Continued overheating may result
discoloration of or damage to the fuse clip.

On 100A through 400A fuse clip assemblies, the screws
are found under the locking clips on the fuse clip
assembly where the assembly is attached to the
disconnect switch and on the trailer fuse block. Note
there are two screws under each of the clips. The
screws may be marked with red ink.
The example images to the left show the two screws on
the disconnect side of the fuse assembly and the trailer
block side with the locking clip removed from one of the
fuse clips. There are twelve (12) total screws, six (6) on
the disconnect side and six (6) on the trailer block side.
On 30A through 60A fuse clip assemblies, the screws
are found under the fuse where the fuse clip attaches to
the disconnect switch or header fuse block and the
trailer fuse block. Note there is one screw for each of
the clips.
The example image to the left shows the screw with the
fuse removed. There are six (6) total screws, three (3)
on the disconnect or header block side and three (3) on
the trailer block side.

Correction
ATTENTION: Only skilled personnel should oversee the maintenance and servicing of motor
control centers. If power sources are connected to the motor control center, use extreme caution
when inserting or removing units. All buses and the line sides of the units are energized and
contact with these parts can cause injury or death.
Follow NFPA 70E safety guidelines when working on energized equipment.
Correction requires re-torqueing the fuse clip screws to the correct torque level. Each fuse clip assembly has a
unique torque requirement. Refer to the following table for the correct torque.

Re-torqueing requires removal of the fuses from the fuse clip assembly.
1. Shutdown and lock-out tag-out (LOTO) the LVMCC system.
2. Open the system structure containing the disconnect switch and fuse clip assemblies.
3. Remove the fuses from the fuse clip assembly.
4. Depending on the type of fuse clip assembly
For 30A and 60A assemblies, tighten the one
screw on each fuse clip on both the
disconnect side and the trailer block side of
the fuse assembly to the proper torque as
shown in the table above. There will be three
(3) total screws on the disconnect side and
three (3) total screws on the trailer block side.

For 100A, 200A and 400A assemblies, tighten
the two screws under each fuse retaining clip
on both the disconnect side and the trailer
block side of the fuse assembly to the proper
torque as shown in the table above. There
will be a total of six (6) screws on the
disconnect side and six (6) screws on the
trailer block side.
Note In the images to the left, only one fuse
clip assembly on the disconnect side and one
on the trailer block side have the retaining
clips removed for clarity. The screws are
located under the retaining clips. All retaining
clips must be removed to access the screws.
5. Re-install the fuses in the fuse clip assemblies.
6. Following proper electrical procedures, including LVMCC installation and start-up instructions, return power
to the LVMCC system.
During implementation of corrective action, if you observe evidence of overheating or damage to the fuse block
components or surrounding components, contact Rockwell Automation Technical Support. Be prepared to provide
your system MCC serial number and images of product overheating or damage. Reference this Product Notice PN
