Pierce a hole in each corner of the plate.

Prepare and glue plate 11 to the wing, up against
plate 9.

Identify plate 11 on the template sheet (Stage 74).

Gently hammer a nail into each of the four holes
created in the previous step.

Take wing plate 3 and lay it on the corresponding
part of the template (both from Stage 75). Mark
the lines of the template onto the plate.
Once the plate has dried in place, pierce a hole
into each corner of it with an awl.
Prepare the plate and then glue it into place at the
end of the wing.
Gently hammer a nail into the holes in the corners.
The wing should now look like this. Keep any
unused parts to one side for later use.

Retrieve the machine-gun bodies and magazines
that came with Stages 54 and 57. Sand them
smooth to prepare them for painting.
Apply glue to the machine-gun body along the
dotted line and place the magazine onto it, as
shown above.

Retrieve the two pieces with captive nuts,
assembled in Stage 68. Insert one of them
between two ribs to the right of the centre of the
wing. Position it so the bottom is flush with the
bottom of the ribs and so the wide side of the nut
is facing up, as shown. Then glue into place.

Test-fit the two machine guns into the holes in the
spar on the right side of the wing. Once the fit is
verified, store in a safe place until needed again.

Paint the two machine guns with black paint.

Repeat the previous step for the second piece
from Stage 68, gluing it to the left of the centre.

Glue a length of 2 x 5mm wooden strip against the
top of the pieces and the sides of the ribs.
Sand the undersides of the pieces
between the ribs to make sure the
underside is flush.
Sand the wooden strips and the ends of the pieces
to match the angle at the ends of the ribs.

This is just to identify where it will fit.

Place wing plate 10 (part 2) on the template sheet
(this stage) to confirm it is the correct plate. Mark
the lines on the template onto the plate.
Place plate 10 on the wing next to plate 12, flush
with the edges of the surrounding plates and rear
spar. Shape the edges to fit, if necessary.

Turn the plate over and lightly score along the
lines to the side of the rivet marks indicated on the
template and by the red lines shown above.

Push the rivet marker along the lines on the plate.

Test-fit the plate in place again. Then, apply glue
to the contact points on the wing.

Glue the plate in place. Then, pierce a hole in the
plates at each point indicated in the photo.
Identify wing plate 8 (part 1). Test-fit in place on
the wing, flush with the surrounding plates and
the rear spar (dotted lines). Then, mark the rivets
and lines, as shown on the template.
Lightly hammer a nail into all of the points
indicated in the photo above.
Glue the plate in place. Pierce a hole and lightly
hammer a nail into the holes at each of the points
shown.

propeller shaft from Stage 76 prepared. Insert the
end of the shaft into the hole in the plate.

base plate, with the teeth positioned in the crown.

Use a wrench to tighten the screw. This will
hold the shaft in place while allowing the crown
to rotate.

Insert the brass screw provided with Stage 76 into
the hole in the centre of the crown.

Place the spinner base plate over the tops of the
propeller blades.

Turn the assembly over and place a nut from
Stage 78 into each of the inner holes, as shown.
Use a screwdriver to tighten the screws into the
nuts.
Insert a screw (Stage 78) into each of the holes in
the spinner base plate.
Check that the three propeller blades move
together when rotated.
