1.4Intendeduse
Thismobilitydevicewasdesignedforpersonswhoseabilitytowalk
isimpaired,butwhoarestillintermsoftheireyesightandphysically
andmentallyabletooperateanelectricmobilitydevice.
1.5Regulations
ThevehiclewassuccessfullytestedaccordingtoGermanand
internationalstandardsastoitssafety.Itsatisfiestherequirements
accordingtoRoHS2011/65/EU,REACH1907/2006/ECandDIN
EN12184includingEN1021-2andISO7176–14.Itwasalsotested
successfullyaccordingtoEN60529IPX4astoitsresistancetospray
water,andisthereforewellsuitedforweatherconditionssuch
astypicalEuropeanweatherconditions.Whenequippedwithan
appropriatelightingsystem,thevehicleissuitableforuseonpublic
roads.
1.6Indications
Theuseofthispowerwheelchairisrecommendedforthefollowing
indications:
Theinabilityoragreatlyrestrictedabilitytowalkwithinthe
scopeofthebasicrequirementtobeabletomovewithinone’s
ownfourwalls.
Theneedtoleavethedwellingplaceinordertogetsomefresh
airduringashortwalkortoreachthoseplacesgenerallyto
befoundatclosedistancetothedwellingandwhereeveryday
businessiscarriedout.
Provisionofpowerwheelchairsforinteriorandexteriorareas
isadvisableiftheuseofhand-operatedwheelchairsisnolonger
possibleonaccountofthedisability,yetproperoperationofan
electromotivedriveunitisstillpracticable.
1.7Usability
Onlyuseamobilitydevicewhenitisinperfectworkingorder.
Otherwise,youmightputyourselfandothersatrisk.
