removethepowersource.Dependingonthe
mobilitydevicemodel,youcaneitherremove
thebatterypacksordisconnectthebatteries
fromthepowermodule.Ifindoubtwhich
cabletodisconnect,contactyourprovider.

2.3SafetyInformationonElectromagnetic
Interference
Thispoweredmobilitydevicewassuccessfullytestedin
accordancewithInternationalstandardsastoitscompliance
withElectromagneticInterference(EMI)regulations.
However,electromagneticelds,suchasthosegeneratedby
radioandtelevisiontransmitters,andcellularphonescan
inuencethefunctionsofpoweredmobilitydevices.Also,
theelectronicsusedinourmobilitydevicescangeneratea
lowlevelofelectromagneticinterference,whichhowever
willremainwithinthetolerancepermittedbylaw.For
thesereasonsweaskyoutopleaseobservethefollowing
precautions:

seatbackrestandtheseattilt(iftted)slightly
totherearbeforedescendingslopes.
Onlyeverdrivedownhillatamaximumof2/3
ofthetopspeed.Avoidabruptbrakingor
acceleratingongradients.
Ifatallpossible,avoiddrivingonwet,slippery,
icy,oroilysurfaces(suchassnow,gravel,ice
etc.)wherethereisariskofyoulosingcontrol
overthevehicle,especiallyonagradient.
Thismayincludecertainpaintedorotherwise
treatedwoodsurfaces.Ifdrivingonsucha
surfaceisinevitable,thenalwaysdriveslowly
andwiththeutmostcaution.
Neverattempttoovercomeanobstaclewhen
onanuphillordownhillgradient.
Neverattempttodriveupordownaightof

3.1IntendedUse
Thismobilitydevicewasdesignedforpersonswhoseability
towalkisimpaired,butwhoarestillintermsoftheir
eyesightandphysicallyandmentallyabletooperatean
electricmobilitydevice.
3.2Indications
Theuseofthispowerwheelchairisrecommendedforthe
followingindications:
Theinabilityoragreatlyrestrictedabilitytowalkwithin
thescopeofthebasicrequirementtobeabletomove
withinone’sownfourwalls.
Theneedtoleavethedwellingplaceinordertoget
somefreshairduringashortwalkortoreachthose
placesgenerallytobefoundatclosedistancetothe
dwellingandwhereeverydaybusinessiscarriedout.
Provisionofpowerwheelchairsforinteriorandexterior
areasisadvisableiftheuseofhand-operatedwheelchairsis
nolongerpossibleonaccountofthedisability,yetproper
operationofanelectromotivedriveunitisstillpracticable.
