diaphragmorthebody.Electrodessubjectto
complaints must be returned to us or to our
agentintheoriginalboxindicatingtheinvoice
number.
b Takeoffwateringcap(7)andushtheelectro-
de tip with distilled water. After rinsing with
distilledwater,wipetheelectrodewithatissue.
Donotrubasanincreaseoftheresponsetime
mightresult.
c Removerubbercapwhichcoverstheelectroly-
tellingaperture (4)orcutoffnipple(T)to
ensure pressure equalization with the atmo-
sphere.
d Eliminateanyairbubblesinsidethemembrane
space(6)ofthemeasuringelectrodebysmoo-
thlyswingingtheunitintheverticalplane.
e Torenewadriedoutglassmembrane,soak
it for several hours in the appropriate stora-
gesolution.Itisrecommendedtostoreglass
electrodesindist.water,combinedandrefe-
rence electrodes in the reference electrolyte
solution(asunderh).
f Afteralonganddrystorageperiod,theglass
membranecanbereactivatedwithhydrouoric
acid(orderno.51340073):Theelectrode
membraneisdippedfor1min.inthissoluti-
onfollowedbyrinsingwithdistilledwaterand
soakingfor12hoursinthestoragesolution.
g Electrodes with ground sleeve diaphragm:
Slightlyliftthegroundsleevesothatsomere-
ferenceelectrolytedropsout.
h Checklevelofelectrolyte(5)whichshouldbe
approx.10mmbelowrellingaperture(4).
