1 Product description
The power supply 74-motor is an accessory for the 24 V DC 74 winch motor so that the motor can be supplied
with 85-264 V AC if there is no emergency opening. The 74-winch motor must remain controlled by 24 V DC
or a signal of 0-10 V.
The power supply 74-motor is supplied with 85-264 V AC. Mount it on the DIN rail at the bottom of the 74-
winch motor cabinet, and it supplies the motor with 24 V DC.

2 Mounting guide
2.1 Mounting and connection of the power supply
1) Install varistor and wires (A) in the power supply 74-motor according to the image below and the
connection diagrams in section 3 Installation Guide.
2) Cut off the current supply to the 74-winch motor.
3) Click the power supply 74-motor (B) onto the DIN rail at the bottom of the cabinet.
4) Install the wires (C) from the power supply 74-motor according to the connection diagrams in section 3
Installation Guide.
5) Connect the controller according to the circuit diagrams in section 3 Installation Guide.
6) Set the jumper (D) on the 74-PCB to:
- ON/OFF
- Stepless
- 0-10 V
7) Reconnect the power supply to the 74-winch motor.
3 Installation Guide
3.1 Electrical connection
Installation, servicing and troubleshooting of all electrical equipment must be carried out by
qualified personnel in compliance with the applicable national and international standard EN
60204-1 and any other EU standards that are applicable in Europe.
The installation of a power supply isolator is needed for each motor and power supply to facilitate
voltage-free work on the electrical equipment. SKOV does not supply the power supply isolator.

ON/OFF
Control voltage +24 V => Close.
Control voltage 0 V => Open.
Feedback signal > 0.5 V => O.C. turns ON.
Feedback signal > 1.8V (15 degree opening) => relay turns ON.

Feedback signal > 0.5 V => O.C. turns ON.
Feedback signal > 9.2 V (85 degree opening) => relay turns ON.

Control voltage increases comparably with the opening degree. 2.3 V = 23% open.
The feedback signal increases comparably with the opening degree.
Feedback signal > 0.5 V => O.C. turns ON.
Feedback signal > 0.5V => relay turns ON.

4 Testing 74-winch motor including power supply
Perform the test to ensure that the installation is in order.
Assess whether a test now poses a hazard for the animals due to a hot climate or the fact that the
livestock house is full of full-grown animals.
1) Connect the power supply to the 74-winch motor
2) Check that:
Blue lamp on the power supply is on.
Green lamp flashes on the 74-motor PCB.
A climate controller set to Manual can control the 74-winch motor: Open / Close.
3) Change the setting of the controller back to Auto after the test.
5 Troubleshooting / remedy
OK = slow flashing
Calibration = invariable light
Error = fast flashing
Symptom
