Use caution when working at elevated

Failure to do so may result in injury and/or

product damage.

Windows and doors can be heavy. Use safe

lifting techniques and a reasonable number of

people with enough strength to lift, carry and

install window and door products to avoid injury

and/or product damage.

Unlock and open active sash.

Remove screws fastening piano hinge to side jamb and save for reuse.

Releasing operator arm allows

sash to swing freely. Sash may

Hold sash rmly and remove from window

frame. Place sash on a clean, at surface

with interior side facing up.

Window Frame

Removal of the upper or lower corner gears requires the removal of the lock extension. Remove four (4) screws along the body of the

lock extension using a drill/driver and save for reuse.

Remove handle receiver plate screws and handle receiver plate

and save for reuse.

Remove screw securing side of lower corner gear and save for

Remove screw securing bottom of lower corner gear and save for

reuse.

Remove lower corner gear and dispose of properly.

Fasten bottom of lower corner gear using saved screw.

Fasten side of lower corner gear using saved screw.

Gear (side)

Remove upper corner gear and ller. Save ller for reuse.

Properly dispose of upper corner gear.

Upper Corner Gear Filler

Upper Corner Gear Filler Screw

Assemble upper corner gear ller and new upper corner gear.

Position top cam lock toward side of sash and side cam lock

toward bottom of sash on the new upper corner gear.

Position new top corner gear and ller on sash.

Fasten upper corner gear ller using saved screw.

Position lock extension cam lock toward bottom of sash.

Position lock extension on sash between upper and lower corner

Fasten body of the lock extension using saved screws.

Slide lock tabs over ends of lock extension. Fasten lock tabs at

each end of lock extension using saved screws.

Position sash in frame. Fasten sash using saved screws.
