4 Sensor Installation
The sensor is equipped with a Tuchenhagen-Varivent
®
processadapter,whichisusedtoattachthesensortothe
processpipeindimensionsfromDN40toDN150.Priorto
theinstallation,thesealingsurfaces(sensorandpipeadap-
ter)needtobecleanedandcheckedfordamages.Further,
itneedstobeveriedthatnoobstaclesarepresentwithinthe
installationcavityofthesensor.
Theinstallationofthesensorshouldbeinavertical stand-
pipe.Ifthesensorwillbeinstalledinahorizontalpipe,it
mustbeinahorizontalpositionandtheprocesspipehas
tobelledcompletelywithliquidduringthemeasurement.

Thereisamarkonthesensorheadwhichshowstheow
directionofthemedia.Thesensorneedstobeinstalledin
thisdirection.
Markfortheinstallationintoapipe
Thesensormustbettedtothepipeatleast2meters(6.6ft)
awayfromstraylightsources(suchassightglasses).
5 Operation
Incaseofanyfailureormalfunction,theequipmentinwhich
thesensorisinstalled,needstobeinasafecondition(de-
pressurized,empty,rinse,vent,etc.).
6 Maintenance: Cleaning the sensor head
Themeasurementprincipleprovidesalargedegreeofcom-
pensationforcontaminationofthesensorhead.However,
thecontaminationcanbecomesosevere,dependingonthe
operatingconditionsandmedia,thatthecompensationis
nolongeradequateandthesensorheadmustbecleaned.
1.Placethesystemorequipmentinasafestate(depressu-
rized,empty,rinsed,ventedorventilated,etc.)
2.Disconnectelectricalpower
3.Dismountthesensor
4.Cleanthesensorheadusingasoft,lint-freeclothanda
mildcleaningagent

7 Disposal
Itistheuser’sresponsibilitytodisposeofthesensorina
professionalmanner.Thissensorcontainselectroniccom-
ponentsthatrequirespecialdisposalwithoutanyhazard
forhumans,andwithnoriskofharmtotheenvironment.
Pleaseobservetheapplicablelocalornationalregulations
concerningthedisposalof“wasteelectricalandelectronic
equipment ”.

8 Warranty
Onmanufacturingdefects,12monthsafterdelivery.
9 Storage conditions
Inspecttheinstrumentimmediately afterreceiving forany
transportdamage.Thesensorshouldbestored in a dry,
cleanandprotectedareauntilthetimeofinstallation.Ifthe
sensorhasbeenremovedfromtheprocess, it should be
thoroughlycleanedanddried.Itshouldbestoredinadry,
cleanandprotectedareauntiltimeofinstallation.
