TheInPro5500icanbeusedinapplicationswhereCIPand
SIPcyclesareapplied.Thesensorhasaprotectivefunction
wheretheCO
2
-measurementloopshutsoffduringelevated
temperatures (>55°C) and turns back on when it cools
down(<50°C).ThisfunctionensuresthattheTC-chipwill
notbedamagedduringCIP/SIP.

4 Installation
4.1 Purge air supply
Thesensorneedsapurgeairsupplyforcorrectfunctioning.
Thepurgegasalsokeepsthemeasuringgaschamberdry
andpreventshumiditybuildupthatcouldharmthesensor.
Requirements of the purge gas supply:
Anyairsupplythatfullllstherequirementsbelowissuitable
tobeusedwiththissensor:
–Deliveredpressure:min.1–2barg
–Particulatefree(40micrometer)
–Condensatefree(dewpointbelow–10°C)
Connecting the purge air to the sensor
Toconnectthepurgegassupplytothesensor
use a exible nylon, PVC or a stainles steel hose.
Thesensorissuppliedwitha6mmSwagelockconnection
forthispurpose.

6 Maintenance: Cleaning the sensor head
The measurement principle provides a large degree of
compensationforcontaminationofthesensorhead.However,
contamination can become so severe, depending on the
operatingconditionsandmedia,thatthecompensationis
nolongeradequateandthesensorheadmustbecleaned.
1.Place the system or equipment in a safe state
(depressurized,empty,rinsed,ventedorventilated,etc.)
2.Disconnectelectricalpower
3.Dismountthesensor
4.Cleanthesensorheadusingasoft,lint-free clothand
amildcleaningagent
5.Reinstallthesensor
7 Disposal
Itistheuser’sresponsibilitytodisposeofthesensorina
professionalmanner.Sensorscontainelectroniccomponents
thatrequirespecialdisposalwithoutanyhazardforhumans,
andwithnoriskofharmtotheenvironment.Pleaseobserve
theapplicablelocalornationalregulationsconcerningthe
disposalof"wasteelectricalandelectronicequipment".
8 Warranty
Onmanufacturingdefects,12monthsafterdelivery.
9 Storage conditions
Please inspect the instrument immediately after receiving
foranytransportdamage.Thesensorshouldbestoredin
adry,cleanandprotectedareauntilthetimeofinstallation.
Ifthesensorhasbeenremovedfromtheprocess,itshould
bethoroughlycleanedanddried.Itshouldbestoredinadry,
cleanandprotectedareauntiltimeofinstallation.
