Dynamic Headset Adapter
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
The enclosed adapter is one of the following three types.
Model No. Connector Type
MD-XLR4M 4-Pin Male XLR
MD-XLR4F 4-Pin Female XLR
MD-XLR5F 5-Pin Female XLR
The adapter is used with various types of headsets that have a dynamic microphone and an
XLR connector which mates with one of the connector types shown above. Use the adapter to
connect the headset to your HME Beltpac as follows.
Plug the mini-DIN connector at one end of the adapter into your Beltpac.
Plug the headset connector into the other end of the adapter.
The current version of MD-XLR adapters has up to 12dB more MIC GAIN than
previous versions. The current version can be identified by a blue sleeve.
Earlier versions have either a black sleeve or no sleeve at all.
Use the enclosed clothing clips to
fasten the adapter and headset
cables to your belt or clothing.
Position the adapter as far from
the Beltpac as possible. Figure 2
shows the suggested position,
which helps to avoid loose-
hanging cables and interference
from the Beltpac.
