1 Mounting guide

BF 50 / BD-Blue 130 parts for motor controlled shutters are used for spare parts and for retrofitting motor con-

troller shutters.

Remember to shut the fan off at the power supply isolator prior to mounting the parts.

1.1 Recommended tools

1.2 Mounting the vertical center pillar

Place the vertical center pillar in the fan duct.

Mount 3 screws PT 6x20 TX30 in the top (do not

tighten to more than 2 Nm).

Mount 3 screws PT 6x20 TX30 in the bottom (do not

tighten to more than 2 Nm).

1.3 Mounting the horizontal center pillars

Mount the 2 horizontal center pillars on the vertical

center pillar using the 2 6x20 screws provided (do not

tighten to more than 2 Nm).

Mount the 2 horizontal center pillars on the fan duct us-

ing the 3 6x20 screws provided (do not tighten to more

than 2 Nm).

1.4 Mounting the rotation lock

Mount rotation lock and actuator link with a M6 screw,

2 washers and a M6 lock nut.

Note that the recess on the actuator link must face

towards the rotation lock.

Mount rotation lock and actuator link on the center pil-

lar with a M8 screw, 2 washers and a M8 lock nut.

1.5 Mounting the shutter plates

Hexagonal

Narrow edge

Wide edge

Mount 6 shims in the top of the shutter plates, with the

hexagon part towards the shutter plate.

Mount 6 shims in the bottom of the shutter plates, with

the hexagon part towards the fan duct.

First mount the shutter plates in the bottom and then in

the top.

The shutter plates must go over the holes in the center

pillar.

Fix the 6 shutter plates to the center pillar with 6 pins

for shutter.

1.6 Mounting the shutter bracket

Mount 6 shutter brackets on the shutter plates using

the 2 PT 6x20 TX30 screws provided (do not tighten to

more than 2 Nm).

1.7 Mounting the shutter link

Mount 3 shutter brackets on each of the 2 shutter links

using the M5 screw, 2 washers and the lock nut pro-

vided.

1.8 Mounting the link

Mount the 2 links on the reinforcement for rotation lock

using the M8 self-locking nut and washer provided.

Mount the 2 links on the shutter link using the M8 joiner

and M8 screw provided (apply liquid screw lock).

1.9 Mounting the actuator

Mount the actuator on the center pillar with the yellow

actuator pin.

Mount the actuator on the actuator link with an actuator

pin.

1.10 Mounting the blanking plugs

Mount the yellow blanking plug on the shutter plate in

the top.

Mount the black blanking plug on the shutter plate in

the bottom.

1.11 Cabling

Lead the cable from the actuator through the cable

clamp on the yellow actuator pin.

Drill a 10 mm hole for the actuator cable opposite the

horizontal center pillar.

Mount the actuator cable on the center pillar using 3

cable ties.
