Technical User Guide 5
1 Product description
DA 1700 dual actuator wall fan is a flange-mounted corrosion-free fan with cone and motor-controlled shutter.
The fan is supplied in one version focused on low energy consumption and one version focused on maximizing
air output.
DA 1700 dual actuator is characterized by having a particularly tightly closed shutter, which prevents unwanted
air movement when the fan is not in operation, and a direct-driven motor to reduce motor maintenance.
DA 1700 dual actuator is specially designed for harsh livestock house environments. This applies to both cli-
matic and electrical influences.

3.2 Placement of wall fan
The wall fan must be placed in the livestock house according to the drawing supplied. Contact SKOV A/S if ma-
jor changes are made.
Check that all wall fans can be placed freely in relation to other housing equipment upon agreement with the
client.
Place the insulation of the brickwork all the way in against the wall fan and all the way round (as in other build-
ing constructions). This way you prevent a cold bridge along the side of the wall fan from being formed.
If the wall fan is installed in areas with risk of load of snow or ice/snow slide, precautions
must be made to avoid damage to the wall fan.
