GrimmSpeed HiFlow Crosspipe Installation Instructions
Park your vehicle on a level surface. Fully engage your parking brake and
put wheel stops on the front and rear wheels to keep the vehicle from
rolling.
All GrimmSpeed exhaust components are intended for Off-Road use only.
1. Remove plastic splash guard (3) 10mm bolts and 4 plastic clips.
2. Remove passenger side exhaust collector heat shield (4) 12mm
bolts.
3. Remove driver side exhaust collector heat shield (2) 12mm bolts.
4. Loosen (2) 14mm bolts that connect passenger side exhaust
collector to up pipe.
5. Remove (2) 14mm bolts that connect passenger side exhaust
collector to crosspipe.
6. Remove (2) 14mm bolts that connect driver side exhaust manifold
collector to crosspipe. Drop crosspipe.

7. Loosen (3) 14mm nuts that connect passenger side exhaust
collector to engine head.
8. Loosen (3) 14mm nuts that connect driver side exhaust collector to
engine head.
9. Install GrimmSpeed Crosspipe. Torque (4) 14mm nuts/bolts from
crosspipe to exhaust manifold collectors. Remember gaskets.
10. Torque (6) 14mm nuts that hold exhaust manifold collectors to
engine heads.
11. Torque (2) 14mm nuts/bolts from passenger side collector to up
pipe.
12. Reinstall heatshields.
13. Reinstall plastic splash guard.
NOTE: Tighten down crosspipe to exhaust manifold collector bolts first.
NOTE: If you are going to heat wrap the crosspipe, do NOT put heat wrap
over the flex section.
NOTE: You may notice a slight exhaust tick with new crosspipe. This is a
normal Subaru exhaust pulse. Since this piece is flowing more, you are just
hearing it more now.
