Safety Instructions
Read and follow all safety instructions. When using electrical
equipment, basic safety precautions should always be
followed including the following:
• All wiring should be performed by a qualied electrician.
• Disconnect power before installing or servicing. This xture
must be wired in accordance with the National Electical
Code and applicable to local codes and ordinances.
• Proper grounding is required to ensure personal safety.
• Do NOT use this equipment for other than its intended use.
• WARNING: Make certain power is OFF before installing or
maintaining xture. No user serviceable parts inside.
• WARNING: When re-lamping, only use lamps specied
in the exit sign. Using other lamp types may result in
transformer damage or unsafe conditions
• WARNING: Battery in this unit may not be fully charged.
After electricity is hooked up to the unit, let the battery
charge for at least 24 hours. Then normal operation of this
unit should take eect (when applicable).
• WARNING: Equipment should be mounted in locations
and at heights where it will not be subject to tampering by
unauthorized personnel. Flexible conduit only.
• WARNING: do NOT use outdoors.
• WARNING: do NOT mount near gas or electric heaters.
1. Carefully remove the blank panel using a at-head
screwdriver to release tabs.
2. Install additional “exit” panel in place of the removed panel.
Check product label for specific electrical
specifications related to installation.
Improper installation will void warranty.

1. Turn o supply power.
2. Carefully remove one of the panels using a at-
head screwdriver to release tabs.
Note: If the unit will need both sides to use “exit”
panels, the blank panel should be removed for this
step.
3. Run wiring through mounting bracket, then attach
mounting bracket to light.
4. Install crossbar bracket on junction box.
5. Connect wiring to junction box, corresponding to
voltage. Cap unused wire.
Note: Red and black wires should never be
connected at the same time.
6. Securely attach to crossbar/junction box.
7. Connect battery to board.
8. Reinstall panel and install directional arrow covers
as needed.
9. Turn on AC supply and allow battery pack to
charge for at least 24 hours before initial test.
10. After 24-hour period, press test button to make
certain light is functioning as intended.

1. Turn o supply power.

3. Create holes in the blank panel for wiring
and mounting in blank panel.
4. Connect wiring to junction box,
corresponding to voltage. Cap unused wire.
Note: Red and black wires should never be
connected at the same time.
5. Mount to junction box/surface.
6. Reinstall “exit” panel, and install directional
arrow covers as needed.
7. Turn on AC supply and allow battery pack to
charge for at least 24 hours before initial use.
8. After 24-hour period, press test button to
make certain light is functioning as intended.
