OPERATING INSTRUCTION
1PEMounting Box (the Box hereinafter) is intended for use as a housing for trademarked doorphone /
video doorphone units. The Box has a built-in socket outlet to connect units to the supply mains.
The Box is capable to house the following combinations of units:
- one control unit / power supply unit and one commutator / distribution amplifier ; or
- one control unit and one power supply unit.
If two units installed in the Box need the mains power, use a two Euro sockets adapter plug, e.g. BRENNENSTUHL
1508030 (the adapter plug is not supplied).

When the mains power is on, the Box contains dangerous for life mains voltage - .
To avoid electric shock the Box shall be connected to the main protective (PE) conductor of a building using the mains
cable PE conductor.
The mains cable shall be protected against current overload by a single-pole or double-pole circuit breaker (with rated
current from 3Ato 6A).Asingle-pole circuit breaker
Mains power shall be off when connecting the Box to the supply mains.
Before performing any wiring or repair inside the Box, make sure that the control unit’s / power supply unit’s plug is
disconnected from the mains socket outlet.
The Box shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing, and no objects filled with liquids shall be placed on the Box.
No metallic objects shall penetrate into ventilation openings of the Box.
The Box shall be installed in heated premises with proper ventilation. The Box may be installed either on a wall, or on a
DIN-rail inside a wiring closet.

Use a 3-wire copper cable with wire cross-section 1.5 mm . Before making any connections, make sure that the supply
mains power is off.

Drill three holes

and depth 4 mm
- Drive anchors (2) into the holes, and
fasten screws in the anchors.
Leave some distance between the
screw heads and wall (around 3 mm).

Split the cable wires. Cut the live and neutral to the appropriate size, leaving the PE conductor (green / yellow) a bit longer.
Strip the leads. Strip length: 7 - 8 mm.
Connect the live (L), neutral (N) and PE conductors to the fused terminal block (see Fig. 7).

Fix doorphone units inside the Box
Make connections of doorphone units
Check doorphone units for proper operation
Padlock the door
Note.
Use screws . 3 (supplied) and holes in the back of the Box to fix doorphone units. Terminals of a control unit and power
supply units shall be oriented horizontally to ensure most efficient ventilation of the units.
The Box is capable to house the following units and combinations of units:
- one control unit / power supply unit and one commutator distribution amplifier; or
- one control unit and one power supply unit.
The correct location of units inside the Box is given on Figures 8 - 10
Let doorphone cables in through the doorphone cable inlets (6) see Fig. ), and connect the cable conductors to
corresponding terminals of doorphone units
If the doorstation design provides protective earthing, connect the PE conductor of the doorstation to the terminal (10), and
clamp the connection.
Plug the control unit’s / power supply unit’s mains plug in the Box socket outlet.
Switch the mains power on .
Switch the control unit’s power on and check doorphone units for operation following their operating instructions.
The Box is provided with a special padlock lug. Use a padlock to lock the Box.
Apadlock is not supplied.
Let the supply mains cable through the cable gland
Fix the mains cable with the sealing nut of the cable gland
