Mounting Box 2PVIZIT-MB
Mounting Box (the Box hereinafter) is intended for use as a housing for trademarked doorphone /
video doorphone units.
The Box has a socket outlet installed to provide connection of the control unit / power supply unit to the supply mains of
the premises.
The Box is capable to house the following combinations of units:
- one control unit / power supply unit ; or
- one control unit /power supply unit and one power supply unit w v EU FARADAY; * or
- two commutators distribution amplifiers ; or
- two commutators distribution amplifiers and one power supply unit w v EU FARADAY;
- two power supply units w v EU FARADAY. *
If installing in the Box two units which require mains supply, use an adapter plug with two Euro sockets, e.g.
BRENNENSTUHL 1508030 (the adapter plug is not supplied). Appearance of the adapter plug with two sockets is given on
Figure 2.

When the mains power is on, the Box contains dangerous for life mains voltage - .
To avoid electric shock the Box shall be connected to the protective earth using the mains cable protective earthing wire.
In order to protect the mains socket outlet in the Box and the mains cable against current overload, the premises must
have a single-pole or double-pole circuit breaker (with rated current from 3A to 6A) installed in the power system. A single-
pole circuit breaker
Wiring and servicing of the Box shall be referred to qualified personnel.
When connecting the Box to the supply mains, mains power must be off.
Before performing any wiring or repair inside the Box, make sure that the control unit’s / power supply unit’s plug is
disconnected from the mains socket outlet.
The Box shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and no objects filled with liquids shall be placed on the Box.
No metallic objects shall penetrate into ventilation openings of the Box.
The Box shall be installed in heated premises with proper ventilation. The Box may be installed either on a wall, or on a
DIN-rail inside a wiring closet.
The mounting dimensions of the Box are given on Fig.

Make necessary measurements and put marks on a wall. Drill holes and drive in anchors 6х30 and screws 4х35 supplied.
Hook the brackets (see Fig.1) over the screws to hang the Box on the wall.

Make connections of doorphone units
Check doorphone units for proper operation.
Padlock the door
Note.
Use a 3-wire copper cable with wire cross-section no less than 0.75 mm . Before making any connections, make sure that
the supply mains power is off.
Let in the supply mains cable through the sealed mains cable inlet , .
Split the cable wires. Cut the live and neutral to the appropriate size, leaving the protective earthing wire (green / yellow) a
bit longer.
Strip the leads
Remove the cover from the socket outlet and connect the live and neutral to the socket outlet’s terminals. Restore the
cover back to its place.
Connect the protective earthing wire to the protective earthing terminal . To ensure proper connection, the wire and the
ring terminal should be clamped together with a clipper.
Fix the supply mains cable inside the Box with a cable tie
Use screws . (supplied) and holes in the back of the Box to fix doorphone units. Terminals of a control unit and power
supply units should be oriented horizontally to ensure most efficient ventilation of the units.
The Box is capable to house the following units and combinations of units:
- one control unit / power supply unit ;
- one control unit / power supply unit and one power supply unit w v EU FARADAY;
- two commutators distribution amplifiers ;
- two commutators distribution amplifiers and one power supply unit w v EU FARADAY;
- two power supply units w v EU FARADAY.
The correct location of units inside the Box is given on Figures
Let doorphone cables in through the doorphone cable inlets see Fig.
If the doorstation design provides for its earthing, connect the protective earthing wire of the doorstation to the doorstation
earthing terminal , and clamp the connection.
Plug the control unit’s / power supply unit’s mains plug in the Box socket outlet (see Fig. 4, 5).
Plug the control unit and power supply unit’s mains plugs in an adapter plug with two Euro sockets (see Fig. 6, 7, 11).
Switch the mains power on .
Switch the control unit’s power on and check doorphone units for operation following their operating instructions.
The Box is provided with a special padlock lug. Use a padlock to lock the Box.
Apadlock is not supplied.
