Step 3: Remove one side then the other of
the lower pivot cover from the bracket
shoulder bolts and pins.
Step 2: Remove two screws and the upper pivot cover.
Step 4: Remove two screws from the bottom of
the switch bracket and allow bracket to
rotate down, out of the way.

Equipment Alert
Tap a lift arm or lower pivot cover three times to raise
the chair to the pre-programmed “home” position; a
convenient height for installation or patient access.
The chair beeps until it reaches the home position.
Step 1: Position equipment.
A) Raise chair to a comfortable working height.
WARNING
Always disconnect power before removing covers. Fail-
ure to do so may result in personal injury.
B) Disconnect power.

Step 5: Push in clip with screwdriver to release clip on each side.
Lift up to remove the upper lift arm cover.
Note: Upper lift arm cover has clips that fit over a dowel rod on front of the chair.
Step 6: Remove lower lift arm cover by working one side at
a time, moving cover to the side and back to free it
from mounting pins.

Step 7: Mount the cuspidor and rear assistant’s unit assembly on the chair pivot using four hex head screws and washers. Do not tighten hex head screws fully.
Step 8: Adjust four set screws to level
the assembly horizontally
Step 9: Level vertically by lifting either side
of the assembly (mounting plate)
and tightening the hex screws.
Equipment Alert
Have an assistant support the mount arm assembly and
steady all pivot points to prevent equipment damage.

Step 13: Connect tubing and harnesses.
A) Remove bottom plate (two screws).
B) Connect like colored tubing.
C) Adhere LIN coupler inside chair frame cavity with velcro strips.
D) Connect LIN lines to coupler.
Caution
Connect ground wire to ensure system ground continuity.
Failure to do so may result in electric shock.
E) Screw ground wires to chair frame.
F) Connect the vacuum power to relay harness.
G) Install bottom plate (two screws).
Note: Keep all connections above the bail wire holder. Use two or more ties to bundle wiring and tubing
together and strapped to the chair frame.

Step 14: Remove lid from J-box.
Step 17: Have an electrician connect facility power to the
vacuum relay and place it inside the J-box.
Step 16: Water valve assembly connections
A) Connect 1/8” red pilot air tubing to T-Barb.
B) Replace 1/8" fitting on pilot valve with the 1/4" fitting from
the hardware kit. Connect 1/4" blue tubing.
C) Connect 1/8" blue tubing for city water to the T-Cross
fitting if city water option is being used.
Note: Replace 1/8” fitting on the T-Cross fitting with a plug from the hardware
kit, if CITY WATER option is not being used.
Step 15: Use hose clamp to install 5/8" tubing from umbilical to facility drain.

Test Verify the following:
1 Mount arm, cuspidor and European assistant’s unit are level.
2 Mount arm and European assistant’s unit rotate and move easily.

Mount arm stays where placed without drifting. Adjust drag on pivot
points if necessary.

Chair lift arm covers are in place and limit switches activate. Chair
returns to home position when a cover is tapped three times.

Pivot covers are in place and limit switches activate Chair raises when
lower pivot cover is tapped three times.

Instruments work on the European assistant’s unit - no wires or tubing
are pinched by covers or mountings.
7 Wipe components with a soft dry cloth to remove any dirt or smudges.
8 Pressing cup ll button activates the cup ll function.
9 Pressing bowl rinse button activates the bowl rinse function.
10 There are no leaks in the ll or drain connections or tubing.
