ThecoldsetpointcanbeadjustedbyaccessingtheColdThermostat
adjustmentscrewUndertheDecalattherearoftheunit.
ThiswillNOTVoidtheWarrantyasthecurrentDecalstatesonthebackof
theunit.Thefactorysetpointis5°C(41°F)thatisindicatedwiththedot
onsheetmetalaroundtheadjustmentscrewandbehindthedecal.
Turningtheadjustmentscrewclockwiselowersthesetpointtemperature
andtherangeisapproximately‐6.7°C(20°F)thruthefullrangeof
adjustment(~7:00tothe~5:00positions).
Youshouldbeabletoturnthescrewfromthefactorysetpoint5°C(41°F)
(~12:00position)about45degreesclockwise(2:30onaclock)toreduce
thesetpointtemperatureby‐14.4°C(6°F)andachievethe1.7–2.2°C(35
36°F)settingyouarelookingfor.

Trialthisbyadjustingandthenmeasurethewatertemperature1015
minutesafterthecompressorshutsoff(coldestpoint)toverifytheset
pointtemperature.

Eachunitwillvaryslightly.Trynottogomuchpastthe“3:00position”to
avoidfreezingthecoldtankasshownabove.

1. UnpacktheWaterlogicWL100WaterTreatmentSystemandcheckexteriorfordamage.

Sanitizing
SanitizeusingaHouseholdBleach(5.25%SodiumHypochloritesolution)orotherapproved
cleanerthroughoutthecoldwatercircuit.Followallinstructionsonthesanitizerandflushwith
freshwaterthroughthefaucetuntilodorandtasteisacceptable.
WARNING!USEPROPERPERSONALPROTECTIVEEQUIPMENT
Alwaysensureproperventilationanduseproperpersonalprotectiveequipmentsuchasgloves
andeyeprotectionwhenusingchemicals.RefertoMaterialSafetyDataSheetforspecific
requirementsofeachchemicalproduct.Takeallnecessaryprecautionstopreventsanitizerfrom
contactingeyes,clothing,andanyothersurfacesincoulddamage(carpets).

2. Put5Millimeter(1Teaspoon)ofsanitizerperdirectionsoruseBleachSolution(5Millimeter=1
Teaspoon=1/6ounces=½capfull)ofhouseholdbleach(SodiumHypochlorite5‐10%
Concentration)intheSanitizingCartridge.Alwaysensuresanitizeriscompatiblewithstainless
steelandacetylplastic.
3. Connectsanitizingcartridgetoinletwatersupplyandconnecttoinletbulkheadfittingonbackof
unit.Turnonwatersupply.
4. ConnectpowertotheWL100WaterTreatmentSystem.DONOTTURNONRED
HEATERCOMPRESSORSWITCHATTHISTIME. RedCompressor/HeaterSwitch
mustbeintheO=OFFposition.

5. DepresstheMainDispensingButtonontheFrontControlPaneluntilcoldwater/sanitizing
solutioncomesoutthefaucet.NOTE:Containeranddrainbasinwillberequiredtocatchthe
waterfromthefaucet.
WARNING!UsePersonalProtectiveEquipment.GlovesandEyeProtectionRequired.Thefirst
8or11Liters(2or3gallons)ofwaterwillcontainconcentratedsanitizer.Useextremecare!
6. TurnoffwatersupplyandremoveSanitizingCartridgefrominletwatersupply.Reconnectwater
supplytoinletbulkheadfitting.

WL100WaterTreatmentSystemsarenotsuppliedwithfilters.Filtersshouldbeconfiguredto
optimizeyoursystem.Filtersneedtobeconfiguredandspecifiedtodothejobgiventhelocal
waterconditions,usage,maintenanceschedule,andplacementrestrictions.

Inorderforourfilterstoperformasrepresentedandtoprovidethebestqualitywaterpossible,it
isessentialthatfiltersbereplacedperiodically.Thefrequencyoffilterchangesdependsuponyour
waterqualityandyourwaterusage.Forexample,ifthereisalotofsedimentand/orparticlesin
yourwater,thenyouwillhavetochangeyourfiltersmorefrequentlythanalocationwithlittleto
nosediment.Besuretoreplaceyourfilterswheneveryounoticeadeclineintheperformance,
whetheritisadropinflowrateand/orpressureoranunusualtasteinthewater.
7. Flushthoroughlyperfiltermanufacturers’recommendationwithfreshwatertodrain.
8. Onceflushed,installthefilters.Followingtheflowdirectiononthefilter.
NOTE:

Filtersshouldnotbeflushedpriorto24hoursbeforeinstallationtolimitMicrobial
Growth.
9. ConnectWL100WaterTreatmentSystemtopower.
CAUTION!NEVERTURNONHEATERBEFOREFILLINGHOTTANK.
RedCompressor/HeaterSwitchmustbeintheO=OFFpositionwhiletheHot
Tankisempty.Damagecouldoccurwithinoneminuteandtheoverload(high
limit)willrequiremanualresetifHeateristurnedonwithanemptyHotTank.

FlushingtheSanitizerfromtheMachine
10. Placeapitcher,catchbasin,orothercontainerunderthefaucetoftheWL100WaterTreatment
System.
11. FlushtheColdTank.Runseveralgallonsofwaterthroughthefaucetbydispensingcoldwaterto
diluteandremovethesanitizerfromthecoldcircuit.Chlorineteststripscanbeusedtoevaluate
thewater.
12. Oncethesanitizerodor/taste hasbeenflushedoutofthecoldsideofthemachinethe
sanitizationprocessfortheColdCircuitisnowcomplete.
FilltheHotTank
13. PresstheHotWaterSelectButton,followedbytheMainDispensingButtontofilltheHotTank.
Waterwilldispensefromthefaucetoncethehottankisfull.Flushuntilwaterisclear.
WARNING!HOTCIRCUITISNOTSANITIZED.
WaterintheHotCircuitisnotsanitaryuntilthetemperatureexceeds77°C(171°F)foratleast
5minutes.

14. SwitchRedCompressor/HeatertoonI=ONposition.AlwaysensureTanksarefull
ofwaterbeforeturningontheHeaterortheOverload(HighLimit)opensand
requiremanualreset.IftheWireCondenseratbackoftheWL100Water
TreatmentSystemiswarm,therefrigerationsystemisworking.

15. Oncethemachinereachesitstargettemperature,thecompressorwillshutoff.Drawaglassof
coldwaterandverifyithaschilledtopropertemperature.

16. Alwaysensuretanksarefullofwaterbeforeturningontheheaterortheoverload(highlimit)will
openandrequiremanualreset.Itwilltaketheheaterapproximately10minutestoheatthe
