OnQ KSU Interface Kit

The OnQ KSU Interface Kit, palt number 363490-01, connects the OnQ 1x11 KSWPBX T&corn Module (P/N
363485-011 with KSWPBX svstems. such as the Panasonic KXT30810. The kit consists of two cable
assemblies. One connects &e in&ming lines from the service provider to the KSU, the second connects the
extensions from the KSU to the individual outlet cable.
The KSU Intelface Kit can support up to four incoming lines and eleven two-pair extensions. For systems
requiring additional incoming lines and/or extensions two kits and an additional telecom module will be required.
2. Description:
The OnQ KSU Interface Kit consist of two cable assemblies. The hydra cable has an RJ45 connector on one
end and 4 RJll connectors on the other. The cable is a 4 pair cable with all four pair terminated in the RJ45
and one pair in each of the RJI 1 connectors marked 1 to 4:
The second cable has 50 position Champ connector on one end and 11 RJI 1 connectors on the other end. The
cable is 25 pair Cat 3 cable. Twenty-two pairs are terminated in the Champ connector. Two pair are terminated
in each of the RJll connectors marked 1 to II.

3. Installation
The KSU Interface Kit is designed to be used with the OnQ 1x11 KSU/PBX Telecom Module, part
number 363465-01. These installation instructions assume the module has been properly installed
along with the KSU.
A. Route the two cable assemblies between the Telecom Module and the KSU. The ends with the RJll
connectors go to the KSU and the champ end and RJ45 end go to the module.
B. Plug the RJ45 into either of the ‘“Line Jack” connectors on the t&corn modules.
C. Remove !I& of commoning boards from the two Champ connectors on the t&corn module.
D. Connect the Champ connector from the cable assembly to the top Champ, marked “Line l&2”.
E. At the KSU connect up to 4 incoming lines from the hydra cable to the line in of the KSU.
