Tow Hitch Adapter Instructions Item 200032 (0401)
1. Locate the center of the sled and place a mark there. The center is located by
measuring the width and dividing it in half.
2. Measure 8 inches from the center and place a mark. Measure 8 inches from the center
in the opposite direction and place one more mark. The two outside marks should be 16
inches apart and centered on the sled.
3. The backing plate may be mounted vertically or horizontally depending on which
works best for the particular sled. Align the backing plate holes with the outside marks
on each side. The top edge of the plate should line up with the top edge of the sled when
mounted vertically or 1” down from the sled top edge when mounted horizontally. Drill
out the top and the bottom holes using a 5/16 drill bit.

4. Align the hitch brackets onto the front of the sled with the holes in the backing plate,
then bolt the brackets to the sled using the supplied hardware. Washers may be used
depending on the thickness of the sled, but are not necessary.
5. Attach the hitch to the sled using the pins that come with the 0400 Otter Sled Hitch.
