53With parts 387, 388, 389, 390, 391, 395,
109, 153, 308, 348, 381, make the
mizzen boom 386, the mizzen gaff 392 and the
mainmast gaff 393, following the plans for the
masts. Sew the mizzen fore trysail 394 to the
gaff 392 with the fine raw thread 308. Fit the
boom and the gaff on the fore trysails 394 and
sew this sail with the fine raw thread 308 to the
boom 386 and to the stay on the rounding of
the mizzen 355. Fit the gilt chain 302 with the
help of the small rings 108 and the double hook
on the mizzen gaff 396. Rig the mizzen fore
trysail 394, following the direction of the
coloured arrows, while taking into account the
yellow, white and violet arrows to be tied on
the belay pins of the circular pin-rail 356. The
green and blue arrows are to be tied to the
eyebolts 109 located on the deck, and the red
arrow is to be threaded through a hole in the
small clump block 100 to end in a belay pin 103
in the pin-rail on the mizzen rigging 382.
Use the mast and rigging plans alongside these
step-by-step instructions.
