4 Sensor Installation
ThesensorisequippedwithaTuchenhagen-Variventprocess
adapter,whichisusedtoattachthesensortotheprocess
pipeindimensionsfromDN40toDN150.Priortothein-
stallation,thesealingsurfaces(sensorandpipeadapter)
needtobecleanedandcheckedfordamages.Further,it
needstobeveriedthatnoobstaclesarepresentwithinthe
installationcavityofthesensor.
Theinstallationofthesensorshouldbeinavertical stand-
pipe.Ifthesensorwillbeinstalledinahorizontalpipe,it
mustbeinahorizontalpositionandtheprocesspipehas
tobelledcompletelywithliquidduringthemeasurement.

Thereisamarkonthesensorheadwhichshowstheow
directionofthemedia.Thesensorneedstobeinstalledin
thisdirection.
Markfortheinstallationintoapipe
Thesensormustbettedtothepipeatleast2meters(6.6ft)
awayfromstraylightsources(suchassightglasses).
5 Operation
Incaseofanyfailureormalfunction,theequipmentinwhich
thesensorisinstalled,needstobeinasafecondition(de-
pressurized,empty,rinse,vent,etc.).
6 Maintenance:Cleaningthesensorhead
Themeasurementprincipleprovidesalargedegreeofcom-
pensationforcontaminationofthesensorhead.However,
thecontaminationcanbecomesosevere,dependingonthe
operatingconditionsandmedia,thatthecompensationis
nolongeradequateandthesensorheadmustbecleaned.

rized,empty,rinsed,ventedorventilated,etc.)

3.Dismountthesensorfromprocess
4.Cleanthesensorheadusing a soft,lint-freecloth and
a mild cleaning agent

7 Disposal
Itistheuser’sresponsibilitytodisposeofthe
sensorinaprofessionalmanner.Thissensor
contains electronic components that require
special disposal without any hazard for hu-
mans,and with noriskof harm tothe envi-
ronment.Pleaseobservetheapplicablelocalornational
regulationsconcerningthedisposalof“wasteelectricaland
electronic equipment”.

8 Warranty
Onmanufacturingdefects,12monthsafterdelivery.
9 Storageconditions
Inspecttheinstrument immediatelyafter receiving forany
transportdamage.The sensor shouldbestoredina dry,
cleanandprotectedareauntilthetimeofinstallation.Ifthe
sensorhasbeen removed fromtheprocess,itshould be
thoroughlycleanedanddried.Itshouldbestoredinadry,
clean and protected area until time of installation.
