DELTA-C INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
.
NOTE:
The unit should be installed and serviced by a suitably trained person.
It is recommended the unit is protected by an RCCB.
NOTE:
Sealed plugs may be fitted to new units.
Installation Procedure
Unpack the unit from its transportation packing and visually check for any signs of damage.
Position the unit on a secure shelf directly beneath the point of dispense or as close to it as
possible. (1m MAX).
Connect the product supply line to the product inlet fitting, located at the front of the unit as
identified by the label.
Connect the product supply line from the dispense head to the product outlet fitting located at
the front of the unit.
Sanitise the system ensuring the unit is in cleaning mode, using the switch on the front panel
whilst practising the safe methods required when handling sanitising chemicals.
Prime the system with product.
Turn the mains power on to the unit. (The unit should run for 3 to 4 minutes and then turn off.)
Ensure the switch on the front panel is in the beer dispense mode.
The system is now ready for dispense of product.
Adjust the pressure switch located on the front of the unit to give the required dispense outlet
temperature.
Clockwise to go colder.
Anticlockwise to go warmer.
Ways the equipment should not be used
.
This unit is intended for use as a Cooling unit to cool cask condition ales to the correct serving
temperature. It is designed to be installed in the system between the bulk storage facility and
the dispense head with the product passing through the cooling coils of the unit. There are no
other recommended uses for this equipment.
NOTE:
This unit is unsuitable for use by unsupervised children, infirm, or aged person.
Correct Safe Handling.
The weight of this unit is such that care should be taken by a single operator when lifting the
unit to between knuckle and elbow height. Operators should be trained and use correct lifting
techniques at all times. Should the unit need to be transported over a distance then manual aids
should be used. If the distance is long and there are specific difficulties and risks which
prevent the use of manual aids then two people should be considered for this operation.

WARNING:
THIS EQUIPMENT MUST BE EARTHED
IMPORTANT.
The Wires in this Mains Lead are Coloured in accordance with the following Code:
Green and Yellow Earth.
Blue Neutral.
Brown Live
As the Colours of the Wires in the Mains Lead of this Appliance may not correspond with the
Coloured Markings identifying the Terminals in the Plug to be fitted proceed as follows:
a The Wire which is Coloured Green and Yellow MUST be connected to the terminal in the
Plug that is marked with the letter ‘E’ or by the earth symbol
or colored Green or Green and Yellow.
b The Wire which is Colored Blue MUST be connected to the Terminal in the Plug that is
marked with the letter ‘N’ or Colored Black.
c The Wire which is Colored Brown MUST be connected to the Terminal in the Plug that is
marked with the letter ‘L’ or Colored Red.
Dismantling / Decommissioning Procedure.
Isolate the unit from Mains Electricity Supply.
Isolate Product Supply to the unit (Cellar)
Vent Pressure from product lines by opening dispense tap.
Disconnect the unit from the product supply.
Disconnect the unit from the dispense tap.
Cap off the product inlet and outlet of the unit.
Cap off the product supply line
Adjustment / Maintenance Requirements.
It is not recommended that the End User makes any adjustments or carries out any
Maintenance other than:
a Check the mains lead and plug Visually for condition.
b Check the unit and its pipework for evidence of leaks visually.
c Check that the condenser grill and vents are not choked or obscured.
NOTE:
This unit has no serviceable parts.
Power Isolation Method.
The unit is fitted with a single phase 3 pin, 13amp plug, fitted with a 10 amp fuse or
alternatively with a standard Euro plug IEC83:1975.
a Switch off the socket that the plug is installed in to.
b Remove the plug from the socket.
Methods of Cleaning.
ALWAYS ENSURE THE UNIT IS SWITCHED TO CLEANING MODE USING THE
SWITCH ON THE FRONT PANEL.
NOTE:
Persons performing Cleansing /Sanitizing operations MUST be competent and fully
trained in safe methods of use of Cleansing / Sanitizing Agents and their applications.
NOTE:
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT SHOULD ALWAYS BE USED.
NOTE:
IT IS IMPORTANT THAT ALL THE VENTS AND GRILLS ARE KEPT
CLEAR.
Weekly:
By End User.
a Always ensure the unit is switched to cleaning mode using the switch on the front panel before
sanitizing.
b Clean sanitize the units cooling coils and product lines using Proprietary Cleanser / Sanitizer
of the Alkaline Hypochlorite type in accordance with the Manufacturers recommendations.
c Wipe units external casing with moist / damp cloth.
Annually:
By a Competent Service / Maintenance Engineer.
Always ensure the unit is switched to cleaning mode using the switch on the front panel.
a Isolate unit from Mains Electricity Supply.
b Remove any extraneous debris from the unit or its casing preferably using a Vacuum cleaner
or brush.
c Check unit for electrical safety.
Action required if Freezing occurs.
Always ensure the unit is switched to cleaning mode using the switch on the front panel
Isolate the cleaning supply to the unit.
Vent any pressure in the product line,, by opening the dispense tap and leave open.
Leave the unit until it has thawed out, close the dispense tap..
Reconnect the cleaning supply and continue sanitizing.
Switch the unit back to dispense mode using the switch on the front panel.
Maximum Ambient Temperature.
Maximum 32 deg C
Warning ,This unit can contribute to ambient temperature.
