Your Progress with TeLL me More Kids
The Games work in three modes: immersion, comprehension, and expression. Each Game has three
different levels of difficulty. While you play, these levels change from easy to intermediate to difficult.
The Three Lesson Modes
Immersion mode
As soon as you enter a Game you hear English words.
Comprehension mode
You can play with Phileas and Kaliko’s friends:
Compie the robot in TeLL me More Kids / Around the House
Pop the robot in TeLL me More Kids / Around the City
Nemo the android in TeLL me More Kids / Around the World
All three of them speak English, so to play with them, you will have to understand what they say! If you have
practiced enough in the immersion mode, you shouldn’t have any problems!
Expression mode
Now you're the one who must tell Kaliko what to do—but in English, of course! It’s simple! Just speak into
the microphone and Kaliko will listen!
A word of advice: the best way to learn English is by letting the Games follow their course. If you find that the
mode you are playing in is too easy or too difficult, change modes using the toolbar.
The Three Levels of Difficulty
The Game becomes more complicated as you play.
TeLL me More Kids 18
Level of difficulty—easy:
You’ve just entered the Game – so, you’re in the "easy" level. Make the most of it, for the moment there
aren’t any traps.
Level of difficulty—intermediate:
"Intruders" appear in your Game. Throw them in the trash or feed them to the spider.
Level of difficulty—difficult:
Now you are being timed! Watch out! Try not to go over your time limit!
