Slide Removal Tool
1. Remove bottom drawer and left-hand drawer
slide from pedestal housing according to
Installation Instruction (PN. 7021-7050), pages 2
and 3.
2. Close and lock remaining drawer(s) and turn
drawer pedestal upside down on clean carpeted
or padded floor
3. Set attachment plate into pedestal housing,
rest-ing the plate on the recessed lip of the rear
structural tie bar. Side edges of plate should be
captured beneath side flanges of pedestal
housing (Fig. 1).
4. Set the heavy load counterweight in place on
pedestal housing aligning holes in rear structural
tie bar with holes in counterweight. Attach
counterweight to housing and plate using four
(4) 1/4"-20 x 1-1/4" bolts. Secure with 1/4"-20
self-locking hex nuts (Fig 1).
NOTE: When counterweight is installed on
drawer pedestal unit manufactured before
1/1/90, drill two (2) 5/16" dia. holes into rear
structural tie bar as dimensioned (Fig. 2).
5. With counterweight securely in place,
carefully turn drawer pedestal right-side-up and
reassemble lower drawer slide and drawer in
pedestal housing. See Installation Instruction
PN. 7021-7050, pages 2 and 3.
